Ideal O-Chem professor. Retired this year, but has his students' interests at heart. Never would have passed without this guy. Takes care to make sure every student understands the process and takes time to go through every individual step. Takes organic chemistry and breaks it down into something simple and understandable.

Rude and seems to think that everyone in the class is dying to learn O-Chem. I thought it was interesting but he really is a terrible lecturer. Classes felt like a waste of time. I ended up watching Khan academy to learn everything. His easier than prof Jensen though. Jensen expects you to memorize EVERYTHING. fort understands you look things up.

My favorite teacher, and I have had a lot in my life. His classes are not that great but he is inspiring and makes you to learn things in your own way. No exams. He acts as a facilitator for learning. Very helpful if you have questions.

Comment:
A rather pompous and condescending person. Attendance is not mandatory and all material is posted online, but is clearly unhappy when people do not attend class or must leave class (even just to go to the restroom). Assignments are not hard bu the grade is entirely composed of 4 or 5 "problem sets" that are almost irrelevant to course material.

Absolutely fantastic professor. lectures make sense and if you do all the problems he assigns you will do fine on the exams. Exams aren't super difficult, only have to do 6-7/8-9 of the problems. Always encourages people to come to his office if they have trouble with the content. & comes to lecture looking extremely classy; only wears Ralph Lauren

Great teacher! Made a tough subject approachable with good lectures and fair tests. Tests were a series of problems (usually 8) of which you only need to do 5 or 6. Grade based entirely off of exams, but this is the safest option. Highly recommend him for this class

Great Professor! I was so scared going into organic chemistry but he makes it manageable. Tests are fair and he's very helpful inside and outside of class time. I would recommend him to every o-chem student!

Best teacher I ever had, hands down. Clearly communicates what you need to do to Ace the class. Do all of the problems he reccomends for homework, be sure you understand what you did, and you'll do fine.

Excellent teacher. Made a difficult subject approachable and understandable. Tests were quite fair - eight problems from which you had to pick five to answer, so if something really gave you difficulty, it wouldn't kill your whole grade. Highly recommended.

Avoid him if you can, and take this class from Dr. Bently or Dr. Jensen instead. He expects you to remember too much. His exams are Phd level. Acts as if students have nothing else to do but study organic chemistry. I got A's in calculus, B's from Bently and Jenson, an F from Fort. Understand?

You have no room to screw off, but you will learn a lot if you put the time in that is necessary. Just do the assigned problems (from the book and from his old exams online), and you will have over half of the exam problems already!

If you are only taking Org. Chem, you will have enough time to study for his exams and do well. Otherwise, you'll have to kill yourself to pass.

The man is satin!! Bitter at the world because he hasn't discovered anything groundbreaking in chemistry. Go to class, he alters things so you cannot pass from just the book!!!
