i had him for the global experience in the fall and basically i lived in belk library doing his writing assignments. some of it can be interesting but good god i don't need to write 5 pages about the chicken pox crisis in madagascar. by the way model un is the most miserable experience possible. run. for. your. life.

Fantastic teacher who thoroughly loves being there. Pushes you to work harder than you ever have, but also makes you want to work. Take his class if you want to feel accomplished and learn the most possible in 3 months.

A lot of work but it definately paid off- I learned a lot! Read seven books but most very very interesting. A lot of essays and group projects- helps you learn time managment. Very challenging

Most of the comments on here are accurate. This class will expand your knowledge of international issues and teach you a ton about analyzing reading and developing your own opinion. There are a lot of books to read, and writing assignments due daily. Understand that the workload is heavy (five 4-5 page essays + a model UN project), but worth it.

This class was extremely frustrating and hard. Prof. Anderson is a very smart man with a lot of political experience, but he expects too much out of his students. He is one of those teachers that forgets that his class is not the only one that his students are taking. There is an excess of reading and writing for this class. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

This class is a tale of 2 stories. Plain and simple, it will be the most challenging class of your life. At times you will feel as if your life revolves around global. His grading is hard, and he is very unclear. However, it will be the most rewarding class of your college experience. You will learn more in 1 semester than 4 years of high school!

Unfortunately this professor takes what could be an interesting class and turns it into complete torture for students. Huge amounts of reading and writing are expected each week and it never lets up. Tests are hard and cover massive amounts of information. You find yourself dedicating most of your time to this class alone.

Dr. Anderson is a great guy and his intentions are in the right place, but his class will take a toll on you. You will wonder why you are doing some of the things you are doing. I pity anyone who has to take this class! Assigns far too much work, and his grading is ridiculous: he'll give a paper back with all kinds of good comments, but then only give you a B-! Overly demanding, and makes every little assignment seem like the biggest thing you'll ever do; is overly stingy with cultural events, also. STAY AWAY!

After only half of a semester, this class has already taught me way more than I ever imagined!... and this is not text book material, its life! Only problem- the workload has virtually taken over my life! You really have to know your material for this class and then take the issue 10 steps further. Stress level is high, but rewards are higher.

Prof. Anderson is a very nice guy but I've never had so much work, and had to work so hard. You do get a lot of info out of his class, but be prepared to spend a lot of late nights in the library. Make sure you take an easy course load if you take this class because it will take over the others.

ONe of the best professors that I have ever had. He makes you think, and challenges you to think outside the box. He is so passionate about his work and teaching. If you do the work and put in the effort you will get so much out of his class. Great teacher!
