NEVER take this class. WORST class i have ever taken. i was excited about the course before it started but now i absolutly regret taking it and HATE every second of it. he doesnt teach, just tells you to read the book that he wrote, which makes no sense. and, you have to write a huge paper. DO NO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!EVER!!!!! he is HORRIBLE

This is not an easy class but its imposable. The test come from his course packet (READ IT). See him if you have any questions, he is very approachable, and helpful. Get his advice often for the research paper! if you correct what he points out you will get a good grade. This class takes effort but it is manageable.

I hate students in college who are unappreciative of a decent professor! You idiots are the a perfect example of how public schools are failing this country! Dr. Brown is brilliant and he genuinely cares MORE than any professor at UNCW. He would do anything for his students. Spoonfeeding you lectures is NOT his job. Take Dr. Brown, it's worth it!

Dr. Brown is a nice man but his teaching methods are old and outdated, his lectures are highly unorganizd, he excessively rambles and has a dry sense of humor. His tests are fatal because his class is largely self taught. The class is way too much effort for what it's worth! Get out while you still can!!

I thought this class would be interesting but you have to teach yourself. It is very easy to fail his exams which he makes tricky. He also doesnt do much to help you if you go to him b/c you're doing badly. He has a lot of info. to offer but he cant & doesnt teach! Don't take this class!

He thinks he is funny, his lectures are all over the place and incoherent. He has hidden assignments in his syllabus that he never mentions and expects you to catch them when you read over it yourself. He is overly critical on research papers and makes up things that are wrong with your paper.

The problem with Dr. Brown is he's tenured and therefore doesnt give a rats behind what you think of his teaching or the class in general. he prides himself on being a smart*ss, and knows theres nothing anyone can do to get him in trouble in the department. he's like an old lame animal..let him go!

This is an interesting course. Dr. Brown covers a lot of material and has been researching this subject for 30+ yrs. There is a lot on the test to study for (and you must study!) and you have to go to class. Dr. Brown has a really dry sense of humor.
