Don't read the textbook, just go to class and take notes. He takes iClicker attendance. He's very knowledgeable about the subject. Tests are easy, pyramid format. If you ask questions during the exams, he'll give you the answers. Easy A - great for PS gen ed.

Really good professor but he's kind of all over the place when he lectures and throws a lot of information out at once. Tests are pyramid format and pretty easy as long as you read the book and pay attention during lectures. Ask questions and he is more than willing to help and elaborate.

Rob's a great guy, i just wish i was more interested in the subject matter to be invested in the class. He's knowledgeable and passionate about his the earth and sustainability, which i think is refreshing. lectures can be long, but if i was more interested in the subject matter, i'd take a lot more classes with him.

I took geo100 because my friends needed it to fulfill a requirement. I expected it to be easy and boring, but was very pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Rob's lectures were. He is very smart, funny, and energetic, and even though his lectures were long I was always captivated. Take this class! Rob is the BEST!

He is so smart and so passionate about the environment. Very easy class however his lectures are very boring. He takes attendance on random days so you have to go to every class. I feel bad for him because he should be teaching an upper-level course, not a gen-ed. He really knows what he's talking about.

He was great professor very understanding on problems that came up. The class was really easy. He uses a pyrmaid test format which is the best thing ever invented. You take a test like normal first and then he gives you the test again ou can talk to him and others about the test and try to get answers. Easiest class ever take it... Boring but easy.

He's very smart, and tries to explain things clearly but sometimes it's too much at once and it's boring. There are small assignments for extra points and four tests. They're pyramid style so you take them twice, the second time in groups. It's an easy class for someone who doesn't like physical science.

This should not be a 100 level class. He never answers emails, never gives actual notes (only pictures that he does not explain), and does not stick to the syllabus. He's always late to class but yells at kids for leaving early. Impossible to keep up with his scatter brain. Avoid at all costs!!

Rob De Conto is one of the smartest ppl you will meet. He is sooo passionate for what he does, and is internationally well known. Makes a relevant subject of global warming very interesting. Most bad ass professor out there! Rob De Conto is THE MAN.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about material. Made things interesting and easy to remember. Understanding and gives extensions for homework if you email him. Posts lecture slides online. Very clear about what will be on tests. Tests have an individual and a group component. Wants to give everyone A's. Four tests and weekly current events.

He is the absolute nicest guy. His lectures are posted online and the book isn't that important. He scales EVERYTHING and has really easy exams. I slept through every class and got an A. He is extremely smart too!

Professor Deconto does not explain the course material well at all. Often he begins teaching a topic halfway through, not starting from the beginning. This throws off many people. His lectures are also painfully boring. Students fight to stay awake. Don't take this class unless you're the type of student that will work hard despite it being boring.

At first he stuck to his slide shows but began to wander off in random trains of thought and made it impossible to concentrate in class. I took three exams: I studied 3 hours for one, 8 for the second and none for the third. I got the same grade on all of them. That is a problem. I also passed in numerous assignments and got only one back graded.
