Goldfarb really makes you apply concepts. Not easy in any way. Handwriting is bad but will always explain. He is quirky and entertaining in class. Tests are hard but he's a very fair grader. Problem sets are optional but recommended.

I took Honors Micro, and I must say, speaking as someone who typically enjoys Econ, this was not my favorite class. Professor is very, very nice and quirky fun but very unclear. His handwriting is awful and can be hard to follow in lecture, which is the main source of information for the tests, which are killer. Problem sets optional, but tough.

I LOVED this class/professor! Highly recommended. Tough, but fair, grader. Will challenge you, but it's worth it!

Difficult class. Great prof but the tests are killer. You can't just memorize concepts; you have to apply them in exams-- but hey it's an Honors course. The lectures can get dull but his quirky personality overcomes that downfall. Go to office hours and show that you want to learn. If econ is really your thing you shouldn't worry too much.

I've taken a few econ classes since having Goldfarb and he is still my favorite econ professor by far. He is really willing to work with you during his office hours if you don't understand something. I'd highly recommend taking his class.

Knowledgeable about economics and has an organized class. You don't need to read the book, but you have to pay careful attention to his lectures. Could be unclear often, but will clarify anything you donĂ¢€™t understand. Helpful during office hour. Grade is based on 2 exams (30%) and a final (40%). Problem sets optional. Curves your grades at the end.

Goldfarb is wonderful...a funny, smart, but sometimes awkward professor. He can be unclear sometimes in lectures but you just have to ask him to clear things up. He is a really nice guy and cares about his students learning. If you make an effort to understand his lectures, you will succeed.

He's a nice guy, it's just a hard topic to understand and he's a bit confusing at times. He always makes himself available for office hours but it only helps so much.

Difficult class. His "honors add-on" is some material from more-advanced economics on pareto optimality.

Probably about as exciting as an economics class gets, which isn't saying a thing... Lectures are a snore and he's not particularly helpful. Even so, he's not an awful teacher, and about an average grader. It's econ, you probably can't do much better.

Not always clear, but maybe that's cause I don't get Econ. Somewhat helpful.
