30 years since I graduated from Marquette; enjoyed Herr Jamison's instruction. Looking back, he is the most memorable of some truly outstanding educators at university. Kind, interesting (and interested in his students) and a dedicated scholar, I remember Herr Jamison fondly. I learned a lot his his classes - you will too. Happy he's still at MU.

Easily one of the worst classes for German I have ever had. Don't think I ever heard him say a full sentence in German unless from a book. All you had to do was show up and read a book out loud and you get an A. Sure it helps people's GPA but a waste of an hour in my opinion. Not to mention his strange rants about nothing related to class

As principled as he is interesting, Dr. Jamison is an amazing professor and amazing person. No other professor at Marquette will be as honest as he is. Also you will learn German, if that's what you're in to. Ask him about "Dem Neuen Regime" or about any german writer (wittgenstein kafka etc.) as he is a wealth of information to those who ask.

He's not the most organized of teachers, and he get's off on [incredibly interesting and amusing] tangents. He's full of knowledge and good stories and he has a great sense of humor. He get's off his subject matter very often รข€" but it's worth it and you still learn a good amount. He's definitely a very memorable professor in a good way.

Jamison's pretty awesome. It's an easy class, especially if you're just looking to get the language requirement done. All we did was grammar and class was just a review of the homework. He's easy to get off task, but it makes the class much more interesting.

Can only learn grammar not language. great about meeting w/ you if you don't understand something. All busy work. Extremely easy if you can read. Mistakes students for best friends who care about his life. Severely dislikes anyone remotely left-wing. Good class for getting lang. credits out of the way.

Great Professor. Personable which really helps me learn better. The atmosphere he creates makes the class feel like a family and really is helping me get through the rest of my classes by breaking the monotony of school. Homework load is easy but you learn a lot.

Definitely a great professor, I would highly recommend taking his class. Minimal work yielding high understanding. At time, Jamison can be emotional, but this is also a fantastic quality, wearing his heart on his sleeve, he's a part of the class. Feels like a family.

Easily one of the best teachers I've had at Marquette. A professor that is both personable and intelligent. Addresses topics as it pertains to real life, only making the class more interesting. Not an overly easy class, you must put in good work and good thought but not necessarily a hard class either.

If you can keep him on topic, you might actually learn something interesting, although this is highly unlikely. The class is extremely boring and he continuously rants about unimportant things. He's kinda funny and a decent fellow but a horrible professor if your actually trying to get your money's worth, if not, take the class, it'll be super easy

Dr. Jamison is probably my favorite professor at Marquette. He's very funny, very eccentric, and very smart. He knows German, and likes to know his students. He is always willing to help you, as long as you allow yourself to be helped. I always look forward to his classes, and lament the (many) times I sleep through it.
