Awesome guy, clearly has a passion for literature. He's so nice, he explains assignments (essays) very well and you always know what is expected of you. But, hes a very tough grader. I usually excell in english and I usually only got a C on my essays from him.

Comment:

Bob Smith is hands down the BEST professor you will have in your university experience. This man loves his job and cares for each and every one of his students. He is an utter GENIUS when it comes to theatre and creative thinking. Everyone should appreciate Bob in his entirety.

Comment:

A friendly, knowledgeable and funny professor. I sometimes found it difficult to keep up with some of his tangential ideas, but he presented those ideas with gusto. Also, he made some strong cases for the plays I wasn't sure I enjoyed reading.

One of the nicest, most enthusiastic guys I've ever met. Unfortunately his class is simply very boring and he expects his students to have plenty of prior knowledge. He is a strict marker and doesn't give much feedback on the paper so it's tough to tell what you did wrong.

Lovely, lovely man. Gives off such a Bill Nye vibe like he genuinely loves what he's talking about. Very easy to talk to and pretty understanding about asking for extensions. Pretty easy marker and appreciates participation, but don't assume he's a pushover.

Amazing prof. Can be a tough marker, but if you put in the effort to meet with him he's very helpful and points you in the right direction. Going to class is necessary! A very enthusiastic and energetic prof, you can tell he really loves his job! If you're going to take a literature course I would one hundred precent recommend his class.

Warmest, loveliest prof I've ever had. Basically the Bill Nye of theatre. Makes lectures fun, actually engages with students, learns everyone's name, and makes you want to name him godfather to your unborn children.

Bob as a theatre prof is the best professor I've ever had. His lectures are extremely interesting and if you put in effort his marking is more than fair. Because of his literature background, written assignments can be difficult. One of the best profs at U of M

Amazing prof! He will spend hours with you working on essays if you finish them on time. He does a "rough draft" essay worth 30%, then a final essay worth 70%. He is very friendly, and very passionate about literature (especially plays)!

Dr. Smith is by far my favourite professor at the university and I was very sad when my year long course had finally ended. He doesn't have favourites, he just gets along better with those that pay attention and enjoy the class. He's super helpful and helped me get from a D to an A's and B+'s on my essays. Very enthusiastic which made classes fun.

Bob is great. I'm not sure why everyone says he is a hard marker, I didn't find that at all. He makes you read the plays outloud in class, which brought me back to high school. He teaches with a style of an English teacher more then a theatre prof, but it is always interesting.

Good prof..YOU NEED TO ATTEND THE CLASSES! If you attend class and keep up with the readings (long) you will do fine. Responds to emails fast, uses humor throughout the entire class...a little bit of a hard marker. There were only 2 essays (60%) and 1 exam (40%) so you need to do well on the essays to get a good mark.
