BEST PROFESSOR EVER. She is a tough grader, yes, but that's what makes the student better. She is so quirky, funny, educated, and bursting with energy, it's hard not to fall in love with the class. #MUSTTAKE!

Dr. M is seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had at LMU. She's super smart, really funny, and her lectures are very interesting. Just do the readings and speak up during discussions in class. Yeah, if you don't read, it won't be interesting, so just read. She was also really helpful during office hours.

She's super intense and takes her class very seriously. Do not miss class and definitely don't go to office hours she's a meany. She wouldn't let me turn a paper in advance when my grandpa was in the hospital and marked me absent for that day to. DON"T TAKE HER

Mandatory attendance. No papers, which is refreshing for an English class. She forces you to keep up with reading via periodic pop quizzes. Lectures can feel a bit dry and dragged out, but peer-led presentations help to switch things up. Take advantage of extra credit opportunities and go hard for the final - you should end up with an A.

this teacher is tough! she is not helpful during office hours, she is a very tough grader and does not do a good job of explaining how she wants papers to be written, she expects too much of the student, she gives weekly quizzes and dont even think about missing class! if possible take another teacher!!!!

She gives weekly quizes and is a bit of a harsh grader. Also when you go to see her @ office hours she is not as clear as she could be in that she does not guide you as much as you may want. She expects you do do the work for yourself but,, if you get stuck she thinks your lazy. The books she makes you read are borning, though she taught me a lot!

By far the best professor I have every had at LMU. Smart, funny (in that great dry sarcastic way), and hot to the point that it was sometimes hard to concentrate on what she was saying. She really knows her stuff and you will totally become a better writer after taking one of her courses. She's tough but worth it!

I dont know what these other people are talking about but Dr. Miskolcze is an amazing professor. Her lectures are interesting and she is open to all interpretations of the text. She is very straightforward and you can tell she enjoys teaching, which makes her students really enjoy learning the material.

she's OK...not the best, but not the worst either. can get boring at times...and we have to do a presentation on a story or poem...midterm was fairly challenging, quizzes are decent. really harsh if you ask her to revise your paper.

Miskolcze is really cool and her teaching is clear and direct. As far as her being "unhappy," I didn't get that at all from her. She was always upbeat and makes you feel good no matter WHAT you contribute. This class won't change your world, but it's fun and laid-back.

One of the best english teachers ive had at LMU. She is a very fun teacher for both short story and american lit 1. Very helpful and easy going. Quizzes are super easy. She makes the class interesting and she's open to all interpretations. I would take ANY of her classes!

Comes off like she's very hip, but can turn on a dime. You think she likes you one day, and the next you think she totally despises you. The student who said she seems unhappy may be right. Also, she doesn't know what to do when confronted with a student who knows something she doesn't know.

Not helpful. She would read while people would give their reports and when they were done she'd pretty much correct everything they just said. She had a kid though, I'm not sure if she's coming back.
