He's a tough marker, but he's brutally honest. He teaches you the style and the work habits you'll need in a journalism career. Besides that Roger is a seasoned copy editor, and a very exciteable and entertaining lecturer. If he's still teaching, take his class. Your mark may not be the highest, but you will have learned the most in his class.

ok apparently everyone else loved this prof. not so with me. be prepared for bad marks based on stuff he never discussed in class. i learned a lot but i hated every minute of it. made me NEVER want to be a print journalism. oh and the man's a copy editor...so watch cp style like a mofo

This man loves what he does. He is passionate about journalism and its contagious. Roger is great at helping people one on one and he is bar none one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. You would be lucky to study with him.
