He does not care very much about his students and takes off full credit no matter how much of the question you get partially right. Downright mean. :(

Where to start? Webster doesn't care and he doesn't care if you care that he doesn't care. Terrible person who doesn't teach anything; instead, he flies through slides and berates students for asking questions. Be prepared to lose multiple letter grades on one question of an exam concerning material he didn't cover. The literal worst.

Awful. This is the only professor I've not gotten along with. TOTALLY UNFAIR. He will deduct huge amounts of points for very small mistakes. He thinks we're all stupid. He doesn't teach, he just flicks through slides. AWFUL.

Dr. Webster is perhaps the best professor in his department. He is honest and straight forward (something some students cant handle), in other words he tells you how it is. His lectures are mostly interesting as they pertain to the topic but he adds his own personal experiences which can be fun /entertaining. Wouldnt hesitate to take a course with.

Being a math major, this class was easy. But it is a struggle for my CS major peers. The guy is arrogant and has even boasted about his 7-figure bank account. Not very likeable. He flies through the notes and refuses to give you a copy so you miss important things. Grades harshly on quizzes. He will help if you ask but wouldn't recommend overall.

I have had him for 4 classes now. He likes to throw information at you, then try to explain it after he gives you the assignment. It's terrible when you take the class, but you do learn a lot - at least I have. If you go to his office hours, he is there to help and wants to see you do well, despite how much he resents teaching in the classroom.

You really either love him or hate home. He isn't a very powerful professor at all. At the end of the semester, he seemed to get more and more careless and sarcastic. I was really excited to take this class in the beginning. And now I'm just annoyed and sick of this class.

Do not take Dr. Webster, at least not for 340. The subject matter was abstract and he just breezed right through the slides every day. Maybe he's better with mobile programming, I don't know, but I don't think he's very much of a teacher.

Webster himself is a pretty bad teacher in my opinion. The material being simple math is the only reason I did well in this class. He goes through his lectures at the speed of light so my notes look like a 2 year old wrote them just because I was trying to keep up. The examples he gives in class are the only thing worth looking at, they help most.

Not a good teacher. Not approachable. Wish he wasn't so sarcastic and acts like he is the smartest teacher and this class should be a joke for us but if your a CS major you have never seen it before. He caters to the Math majors that take this class cause they know everything already and he assumes that CS majors know it all as well.

CSCI 161 & 140 Easy grader and amuzing person. Not good at teaching though. Will get a good grade in the class if you teach yourself with the book. Be carefull if you take 161 that you teach yourself about object oriented programming so you are prepared for 162. His answer in Java 161 is to make every method Static which means "no objects"

Sarcastic. Couldn't ask questions a lot. Wish he knew and helped students more one on one more. Class is useful and basic if you want to learn about spreadsheets. I learned a lot. Randomly takes attendance. Tests are fill in the blank.

usually teaches upper lvl classes, and made a point to tell us so... he expects you to read the book + review examples of programs in the text. lectures are short overview of whats in the book.. doesnt exactly lecture. over all easy class, A+. But his teaching is up to par with the other 161 professors, i was not prepared for 162...

Took this course over the summer....it was great with 8 other students...all non-CSCI majors, so we didn't go in-depth into everything. Very easy grader on written programs...just make sure you do them. Tests are basically writing programs...study & you should do well. Very smart guy, but teaches straight from powerpoint--not the most effective.

Very knowledgable prof. He has a hard time getting his message across to those who are not CS majors or have some idea of what to do. Very fair grader percentage-wise, but you should push him for a grade schedule before it gets too far into the semester...

Very smart, but he is definitely here to do his research; he is one of the worst teachers I've had in my time at MU. His lectures are pure Powerpoint, complete with a tree's worth of slide handouts every day. Save the rainforest: do not take him if you can afford it.

whatever you do, dont let him touch your code! it'll break! had a hard time trying to get my code to work with his libraries. reads from power point and never really explains things. put in a crap load of hours just to get a crappy grade. teaches things on a whim, whatever he thinks is cool he'll have you do, without thinking about it.
