Dont take him unless you want to fail! He doesnt care about his students. His quizzes are somehow okay because they are usually work done during the class but he is a tough grader. He does not respond to emails and does not make any effort to understand you.

I would highly encourage you to take his course if you are ready to work 10-12 hour long assignments every week. Out of which you dont know which questions would be graded. Course content was easy but I feel class was made 15-20% tougher for no reason. You might be expected to do similar questions in each assignment again and again. best of luck

Roger is a good guy. Math is definitely my worst subject and i just needed to get through calc one for my degree. If you show effort he responds well by that and has helped me out side of class. Beware that the quizzes set a standard above the midterms. He often tones down the questions on the midterms, so dont give up if your quizzes aren't so hot

By far the best math teacher I've had at TRU. His quizzes are fair and are the same difficulty as the homework and the midterms. He makes the class enjoyable and he really cares about your grade in the class. If your looking for a fair math teacher with a good sense of humor I highly recommend Roger.

He definitely means well, occasionally he gets side-tracked in his examples and often has mistakes in his examples, which can lead to increased confusion in the course. Definitely had to do some self-teaching. His tests and quizzes were fair, though.

He expects you to work hard and make a genuine effort. If you demonstrate that you are trying, he will do everything he can to help you. He does not hesitate to help you in his office even if outside his scheduled hours. Also, has a great, but subtle sense of humour.

Roger was just awesome! Did not like math before entering his class. His accent makes the class funny and engaging. Is very helpful, and will go over anything in class if you don't understand. Easy marker! Tells you what to expect on everything.

Very good instructor once you get over the accent. I've been told he's not good for beginner math courses; he can't explain simple ideas. But for calc 4 he was great.
