Hopefully not all his classes are like this. Instead of teaching and allowing discussion of the films we're studying he quotes from texts we've already read outside of class. His views are interesting and idea's are insightful but he's not very engaging as a professor which isn't good for the students in the classes who are actually interested.

He's easy to understand, uses films that are known but often not seen before class(how green is my vally/citezen kane) and i slept threw most classes and still got an A-, so just know how to bs your way through and you'll be fine. Uses the text book alot, and quotes 1/2 of what you're suppost to have read, but overall, pretty easy-going

If you like writing about movies then this is the class for you...b/c that is all you will get to do. Banters on about movies no one has ever heard of...cuts ppl off...talks about himself way too much...definately knows his stuff about film, but tries to merge film studies and english to suite his own interest...not recommended

Easiest marker I've ever met. He is vague though, that's for sure! Getting help from him is very difficult, and I'm not even sure he's got office hours. However, the mid-term, final, and paper are all very easy to do well on. Never heard anyone get less than a B, with minimal effort.

I think this teacher is pretty funny. The class is okay since its only once a week, and the test isn't too bad since its not an english class or anything. I got an A+ on the midterm and the final is take home so that may be good.

Too many examples of really old movies which no one has heard of. Doesn`t like any complaints. Plays really loud music during lecture and gets angry when we ask him to turn it down so we can hear him. Very evil about exams. Bad sense of humour. Gives no info to students about papers or exams,
