Prof is nice, but he is on tenure and doesn't care. Waste class time and gets most of his test from the book. Taking notes is hard because it is all lecture about irrelevant things. Nice guy but not the best class to take.

I am Deaf and do not understand how anyone could actually FAIL this class. I have a limited vocabulary. I experienced students sleeping in class, skipping class, and saying that they had no time to study. Ignore the negative comments, be open minded, and build your critical thinking skills. You will learn ALOT from this professor!

Great Prof. Test are hard but if you attend class and take notes you can pass with no problem. Most students have problems in the class because they do not attend class. I would take any class he teaches. Bottom line go to class take notes and you will pass skip class and you will fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who has negative comments are straight out of high school and used to being spoon fed. You must attend and know how to listen for the points that he wants you to write down, which is very easy. You must read the book on your own because 30% of the tests are from the book, but reading a boring book is the only difficult part of this class.

Absolutely terrible teacher. Doesn't have clear outline for material yet expects you to know exactly what are on his extremely hard essay/fill in the blank exams. Rambles off topic constantly. Avg test grade for first test 46!! theres only 3 grades in the class, so its impossible to bring your grade up. AVOID!!

I love the guy! He is very interesting. I had absolutely NO interest in Political Science when I started. I have learned a lot from his lectures. He does NOT cover any topics in the textbook and you are expected to be able to answer 30% of questions on tests from the textbook. Should drop the textbook because his lectures cover enough material.

Attendance is not mandatory but you need to be in the class in order to get good grades. 80% of the test come from lectures. So it really depends on your ability to stay focus and take notes. If you like skipping classes, sleeping in the class, or playing computer games during lectures, avoid his class. Pay attention and stay focus.

He is really hard to follow in class, he goes off on tangents. You have to keep him on point or he'll forget what he was saying. 3 tests: all as specific questions if you don't know specific answers you'll fail. He did assign extra credit b/c the average for the whole class for the first test was very poor. I would not recommend this class.

Good class to take if you are just starting college. No suprises as to what is on the tests. Little information from the book. Need to memorize lists (such as all the amendments to Constitution)for "essay" questions, so start early on study. He talks a lot about "pet" topics and some classes there is little actual lecture. Likeable guy overall.

He will sit there and talk about his family and go off on rabbet trains more than he teaches and there's only 3 tests and that's what makes up your grade, so if you don't get it the first time you're grade is screwed. I would NOT recommend him.

I am a social studies teacher and I took POLS 1101 to renew my certificate. I liked his personality a lot, but he had the hardest tests I have ever taken. Great discussions in class. Don't try to out think him on the essay questions. Be very well prepared.

I had him Fall 2006. To date, this is the only class I have ever made a C in. He tries to make the tests tricky, he is an old, cranky, man who is should have retired years ago. Don't take his class -- or your GPA will suffer. I don't think Pols 1101 is supposed to be harder than Orangic Chemistry -- go figure. RUN...

I had Ron Tebeest for a survey course in American Government back in the Watergate era, some 35 years ago. He was an absolutely inspirational teacher! After taking his course, I decided to pursue a degree in Political Science and a teaching career of my own. I must say that, over the years, I have shamelessly "appropriated" his style!

Lectures entire class. Majority of grade is from his lecture. He has been teaching at Kennesaw for like 40 years. He's seems to find pleasure in telling you that 1 in 5 students fail his class. He tends to ramble during lectures with personal asides. He lightens up a little by the end of the course but you MUST take good notes to do well.

I took american governmet with Teebest. It was boring at the very beginning, but it get better by the end of the course. He is very funny, he really is!!The worst part is grades system: 3 test through the whole course, if you fail first one, there is no way to make even B. Tetst are not very hard as long as you have notes from lectures.

This class was terrible. He only has three tests for the whole semester, and they are not relevant to anything he has thought. As a person he is very fun, but too openionated. He is very close-minded and over all his class was boring. I would never recomend him to anyone!!!!!

He is very boring; lectures all classes but never gets to the point. he always tells useless stories that have nothing to do with political science. your grade depends on only 3 tests the whole semmester: no quizes or homework. The tests are very hard.

I loved this class. Straightforward approach; clear in his opinions, but still lets you express yours. It's not too hard if you just come to class & take the notes.
