You walk away from his classes actually knowing something, he seems very boring at first but honestly, he has been the best prof I've had here. His lectures are very detailed, the exams have no surprises and its very easy to get a good grade.

gives little/no instructions for the papers and exams. In addition, feedback on your work done consists of your letter grade and a one-liner.

Professor McCormack's classes are easy A's but he is very vague in what he expects on assignments and tests. Numerous students emailed for clarity and received vague responses that left you even more confused. I cannot stress how vague he is, at times you just don't know what's going on.

I have decided Ross McCormack is the best. Yes, he is boring. However, I found him to be hilarious. Has a twisted sense of humor and likes to tell things like it is. He is beyond brutally honest. Sometimes his feedback seems mean, but he makes it funny.

The class I took of his was incredibly boring! He lectures like he's reading off a Wikipedia page. If you ask for help he will help you. You pretty much don't need to go to class , it just makes things easier for the papers he assigns you. He gave the syllabus the last few weeks in class. He's ready to retire and just wants to chill.

I like Ross. He is very lazy, but if you show up ask questions and participate, it means the world to him. This is my third class with him. He gives hilarious feedback

Dr. McCormack is an interesting guy, he likes participation that is for sure. He has an interesting sense of humor, some may find it offensive, personally, I liked him. He was helpful when we asked him for help. Disorganized, but I think he is close to retirement so take a class with him, put in effort, participate, and you will get an A

Nice guy who gives you the chance to rewrite assignments, but very very unclear on what he expects from you for essays and assignments.

Very easy papers and exams. He doesn't have specific grading criteria, nor does he give feedback, but as long as you follow his preferred formatting, you will do well. No need to watch lectures, and he takes long to respond to emails. Very flexible about due dates, and will review assignments beforehand. Easiest A I have ever received.

Excellent professor. Entertaining, witty, intelligent, engaging in his courses. Do what he says in papers and you will kill the class. E-mail correspondence is there but brief, though his expectations are rather clear anyway.

Worst prof ever! Does not care about students progress. Does not give proper expectations for grading papers and tests. Arrogant and insulting. Email him and will never respond. Has not met me after trying to email and call him repeatedly. Find another prof!

Very knowledgable and sarcastic! You learn so much without having to cram useless knowledge into your brain for tests only to lose the information a week later. His lectures are interesting and easy to follow. This is the type of course that gets you listening instead of just hearing and writing so aimlessly that you do not actually learn.

Easiest classes I've ever taken. Can't comment on the lectures since I didn't watch them. He is the slowest marker I've ever met and chances are you won't know any of your marks unless you specifically email him to ask. He loses email assignments all the time but he doesn't care about deadlines so don't worry if he says you have outstanding work.

Almost halfway through the year (6 cr course) and he's starting to repeat his stories... That said, he is funny and hilariously sarcastic. It's hard to follow what he talks about in the text book though so I question how useful the text will wind up being.

AMAZING. Cool prof and very smart. his expectations are clear and although you don't need to attend class in order to do well, you want to be in class to hear his lectures. The kind of guy that you want to hang out with but he will always have better things to do. Read every book and seen every movie because he is just that cool.
