Comment:

Not very clear in his teaching. Often makes mistakes while teaching and will not realize until 10 mins later, and has to start the problem over (wastes time). Not good with technology at all. Few things to grade (a couple homeworks and 2 exams). Basically, you have to teach yourself, which is not what you are paying for.

Sometimes his lectures are unclear but given that he gives a website with everything you need to know for exams, quizzes, and homework, you can follow at your own pace. He makes a few mistakes here and there but eventually realizes and it doesn't disrupt the lesson. Good professor overall

Very helpful when you talk to him 1 on 1. Professor Plastock is a kind and pleasant teacher who I would take again. His lectures can be a little dull but its rare when math peaks my interest anyway. Sometimes Professor Plastock will make minor mistakes but what professor doesnt.

Professor Plastock was honestly my favorite teacher this semester. Yes, attendance isn't mandatory but he teaches so many tricks to make DE very simple. He strictly does book problems and test questions come from the book so its great way to learn. He is super nice and funny at times and it's sad some students don't show him the respect he deserves

My boy plastock is honestly one of the best math professors I will ever have in NJIT. Hes a flexible grader and teaches well. People that complain about him dont show up to class because he doesnt take attendance. Go to class and you will understand the material.

Doctor Plastok tried his best to teach the material you need to know. His listens to his students suggestions about tested material. We currently use webassign for tests and quizzes. So not only are the tests a little easier but they make studying super easy. I would defiantly take Doctor Plastok again.

Awesome. Subject is confusing but Dr Pworks hard in class to make sure u understand. Helpful 2 read book b4 lecture,ur understanding will be amplified-DoHW. He also genuinely cares about students' development as adults. Don't listen2 sour grapes below, Dr P is a kind and interesting person w/lots2 offer,doesn't deserve such abuse. GROW UP! A+prof!

this professor is awesome, he teaches you like if you don't know anything, he gives you the formulas and solves the problem. he spends an 80% of the time doing problems which is good because that's how we learn, plus his tests are like the problems we do for homework. he has webassign homework with videos too. simply awesome.

I took 326 for my second time but my first with him and I could honestly say that for the material he is given to teach with he does a marvelous job. In the beginning of the semester he showed us a Confucius quote and now every time I study it sticks with me. He a good guy and probably won't fail you if you show up the last day of class.

honestly dont be afraid after reading comments in below.. in reality he is trying to help you out and giving the knowladge of dfq yes he goes fast but look at this way wht if you were taking dfq math222 even tho you learn i promise you will end up having bad grade prof Plastok roy is not easy going but really nice at teaching ull be fine just study

Roy as a professor is amazing. He explains things well. It is not his fault the material is hard to grasp. The book is good but there are no solutions for the difficult proof problems. Other than that his tests are fair and he is a nice guy. He is not a professor trying to fail you. Plus he tells some cool stories about his friends.

Knowledgeable but I warn you do not take his class! He doesn't teach and rambles on forever. Gives one hw, which counts as half of the midterm, and of course for practice. But if you expect to know what is going on in class, or use the textbook for practice, you're wrong. tbh, guy sucks, barely takes atttendance and whe he does everyone leaves.

Didn't have much of lesson plans and sometimes it was even the students teaching the class and him the stuff..... literally couldn't believe this class or professor's lack of understanding or preparation. Definitely not a hard class so you can teach yourself or catch "some" helpful tips he occasionally gives in class though.

For all of you considering Plastock because he lets you use calculator apps on exams- he doesn't allow that anymore. Instead you take exams on a site called Webassign where you use a "lockdown" browser. Exams are still fairly easy since questions come straight from the HW, but its a new format now. Still take him for MATH238, just be aware.

He teaches Math238 and Math322 VERY differently. He won't feed you answers to the test like in Calc2. he gets confused a lot to the point that i stopped paying attention in class Highly suggest to get chegg for this class as I thought the book was too complicated to learn from. If he was teaching another class i needed i would avoid him this time
