This man was a god. I went to grad school for a PhD (successful and now employed as a prof). Graduate stats was a cakewalk after his class, and the prof that taught grad stats was extremely demanding and theory heavy. First day of class Dr. White told us that we would understand stats and methods better than anyone in our grad class. HE WAS RIGHT.

For the record...I loved Dr. White. Took him for 3 courses. (PsySem,RM I & II)Yes, he set the bar high. People just said he was evil because he made the spoiled little Marist brats (god forbid) actually work and they hated him for it. Graduate school is 20X harder than White ever was. Welcome to the real world kids. I'm glad you're my competition.

A very challenging teacher, which is a nice change from sleeping through other psych courses. He has a tough exterior, but don't let that fool you. He is a great guy who is always willing to help and has a twinkle in his eye when his students finally get the sometimes cryptic research methods material. He is certainly missed here at Marist.

He challenged me, which I liked because most professors don't. He knows his Psychology- WELL. It may seem like he doesn't care, but he does. You just have to be willing to do the work. If you need help, you just have to ask. But when you do, he meets you halfway. He's the best professor I had at Marist; its too bad he retired. I learned so much.

If you are used to doing a lot of work and then getting nothing for it, then take his class. He believes that only he could be right. Quizzes every week. Must read book, and teach yourself. Many people don't do well. I had a 4.0 every term till I took his class. He really knows his stuff though. Thats the only benefit of taking his class.

The man doesn't teach you anything and expects you to know everything. You're expected to learn everything out of the book, and you have quizzes every other or every class. Half the time, they're at the beginning so you can't ask any questions. If you aren't a math wiz, don't take his class. Don't know how other professors are, but NOT him...

Not having him for Research I made this class tough, but for the first time I feel I have learned something and truly appreciate how much he really cares for students. Not easy by any means, but feel grateful for helping prepare me for the future.

I think this guy likes to watch people fail. No matter what you do, it's not good enough. Finds fault in everything. If you didn't have him for Research I, don't take him for II, because he will pick on your "inferior knowledge" of the subject all semester. Very unfair grader. Don't take!

since it's required u don't have much of a choice. he does take that one credit course way too seriously, took 10 pts off a paper cuz i was 2 min late- but it's pass/fail, so whatever. He was really helpful when I asked for psych-related advice & the class was helpful for the field, but he's a pain!

very smart and classes are never boring. teaches you alot and the material is interesting. very tough grader tho. the one time I was late to class (2 minutes) he took off 3 points on my paper. tons of reading. expects 6hrs/wk outside of class to do homework. I did at least double that and got a C.

The hardest teacher I ever had, but also the most professional and most helpful. An A is not easy; he doesn't inflate like most of Marist, you need to pay attention to every detail, but you know you've earned your grade. As an added bonus, he looks alot like Mr. Feeney on Boy Meets World.

Good teacher. Puts only as much effort into teaching the course as his students put into learning the material. Probably one of the most brilliant professors I have ever had at Marist.

He wants you to fail and will take every annoying measure possible to make it happen. If you take him be prepared for a whiney, tight-assed, old man. He will go as far as to assign make-up PAPERS for your first missed class. The work and class is as mind numbing as his personality. STAY AWAY!

Required for all psyc majors. Horribly boring, with an even boring teacher. Takes a one credit class more than too seriously. Try to take the course online. Considered to be one of the hardest teachers at marist, and tries to make the easiest class here, just as hard.
