Unfortunately, he was very unhelpful, and was the absolute rudest teacher I've had in any of my years of school, college or before. He yells at students, and is not good at answering questions. Very disorganized. I was very unhappy with this class.

Profe Ascanio is very enthusiastic about the language and students learning. Personally, I love Spanish and I love learning it so I didn't have any problems in the class but he is fairly unorganized and sometimes the assignments and test material are unclear, but if you pay attention and do the homework you'll be fine!

Great professor! He really wants to help you learn. He has a lot of energy and gets very excited when he sees that you are learning. Easy as long as you do the work and study. There is an oral presentation (How to do something) at the end of the semester but it's not as bad as you think.

He's a great teacher and has lots of energy. He clearly wants students to learn and is very helpful during his office hours. I suggest you take his class even if you don't know alot about Spanish because he won't make you feel stupid. He gives alot of homework but it's needed and will help in a Spanish 3 class.

Homework everday but its busywork. He can be super unorganized and therefore hyperactive to cram everything in class time. Sometimes he doesnt give you enough time to prepare for tests and stuff. But I thought was overall good teacher; I learned a lot and hes willing to help students out as long as you ask.

I think that he is getting senile in his old age because he would not remember things that we talked about the week before. He also has a paranoia problem and perhaps a little anal retentive. Would not recomend his class even though I got an A-. Just because he is so frustrating to understand.

Very unorganized. I had to repeatedly give him my grades because he kept giving my scores to other students. Instructions very unclear. The class itself is easy, just keep good attendance, do the homework (DON'T turn it in late or it won't count for anything), and participate.
