Madame Girard is AMAZING. She is such a sweet, caring professor. & She speaks French perfectly! It can be a difficult class if you have absolutely no background in French, but she is always willing to help & there is tutoring available! She grades fairly easy & won't give you bad marks if your French spelling isn't the greatest. Take her class! :)

Madame Girard is a good teacher. She explains just about everything in french. I would recommend a tutor or someone proficient in french if you really want to grasp the language. I came into this with 3 years of high school french so this class was pie.

She is a very nice woman and pretty friendly. However, on many occasions when students ask questions, she seems to get somewhat rattled, as if she does not know how to answer. My only big complaint is that she speaks almost entirely in French, which is kind of detrimental if you have no familiarity with the language.

dont let these comments mislead you. You will still have to work hard to learn it. Get a tutor asap. I struggled because she gave explanations of words in french so It can be easy to get lost during class. Do HW ASAP if you want to understand class at all

I recommend the class to anyone who wants to learn french. Mme. Girard is very nice and patient and she will help you however possible. It was pretty fun and easy too. Pronunciation was hard but you'll find at the end of the semester that you've learned a lot and your pronunciation will improve. You should consider getting a tutor too.

Warning: French is a challenging language when it comes to pronunciation, and I think that is most people's biggest hurdle when learning it. That being said, the class isn't terribly hard, and Madame Girard couldn't be nicer. She's very willing to help students and make exceptions. You couldn't ask for a better French teacher.

Man, this class is SO FREAKEN EASY! This lady gives the EASIEST tests and assignments! When you miss something on a test she only takes 1/2 point off. If you want an easy A then take this class!
