If you ever have to take COMM 131 at TU, TAKE SAM!! He is he best COMM professor at TU and the class challenges you to learn to properly speak which is why you're taking the class in the first place. There are only two exams (Mid-term & Final). Everything else is speech based and its super easy but also informative. TAKE THIS SECTION!!

Sam is one of the best teachers I have ever had! He is very outgoing and will act like a crazy person so you bond with your classmates. DO NOT take this class if you do not have a sense of humor. He will get you out of your shell but he genuinly wants to get to know each student.

That is not only a class, it's a family that everyone could be together to say whatever they want to say. Everything in this class was unbelievably amazing that I wish I could be there for the whole 4 years. Don't consider his class as a class, consider his class as a stage to shine. what you would learn is totally beyond speeches.

It was never a drag going to his class. He was a very quirky man and always tried to make everything fun. The assignments were never hard and you always had ample time to get it done. You don't need the book and he basically gives away the answers to quizzes. Missing class is really not an option but this was one of the most memorable i've taken.

Sam is such a nice professor, very smart and approachable. He makes the class casual and comfortable, with his humor and jokes. GREAT TEACHING STYLE. The class will bring you out of your comfort zone and teach you so much. if you have to take speech, take it with him.

This was the best instructor I ever had at Towson! I was terrified of public speaking, but by the end I was finally able to give a great speech! Sam is hilarious and the class becomes like a family cheering you on every step of the way! Do whatever you can to take COMM 131 with him---it will change your life and you will emerge a better person!

This class is the absolute BEST! Sam is AMAZING--a master at easing the #1 fear of public speaking! The humor he injects is ESSENTIAL & appropriate--a BREATH OF FRESH AIR! His teaching style is perfect! He's respectful of his students, relates well with them and the results are astounding! TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR--IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!

This class is an easy A and really fun. You really become a family with your class over the semester. Sam is a little overkill with Dad jokes and he makes some rude comments when he thinks he's being funny. If you're comfortable with public speaking this will be a breeze and if not it'll teach you to be.

Sam is the man. One of the easiest teachers at Towson, and the funniest. If you can't take a joke and don't wanna play alone, don't take him. I suck at public speaking but he made me feel comfortable and worked with me to help me get a good grade. TAKE HIM. Don't buy the book.

Sam is by far my favorite professor I've had at Towson and made one of my least favorite subjects fun and easy! Going into the class I never thought I would love it this much. Everyone in my class became good friends which was great. Easy but also valuable class that you will have a great time in. I am truly sad that it is ending! TAKE SAMMY BABY

Not a traditional professor! Hilarious. Huge personality. Really works to make sure class is like a family. You can call him whenever to ask for help with assignments. Grading seemed tough at first but he came around at the end. Seemed to have given final grade for progress 4 speeches, 2 tests. DON'T BUY BOOK

One thing for sure is that you will laugh a lot in the class. 4 speeches; demonstration,informative, group speech and a persuasive speech. Tests(2) are true or false and multiple choice. It does take a little effort to get an A. Do not get the book.

Take the class, even if you don't have to. It will make you a better person. Sam is an amazing teacher. I had the worst fear of public speaking and social anxiety...I got an A and became more comfortable with public speaking. You'll never have another teacher like him. Take the opportunity.

Without a doubt, THE BEST teacher I've ever had at Towson. Very easy going. Very humorous. Makes everyone more confident and comfortable when it comes to giving speeches. Really felt close and connected with my class. Sammy baby changed my whole outlook on everything. Amazing class. Amazing teacher.

Literally, the best teacher I have ever had in college. If you want an easy A, a relaxed and humorous class, all while getting over your fear of public speaking dont take comm 131 with anyone else. Sammy is awesome!If more teachers were like him I'd enjoy my college experience 10x more.
