Comment:

Abdel-Salam was a great professor. He does not focus on the math aspect of SOCI301 which makes it way easier. He does not take attendance but all exam information comes from the lectures. No need to buy the textbook, he only tests you on his lecture slides - which he posts online. We had 2 exams and an extra credit quiz in place of a final.

The only way that you won't pass this class is if you don't try. He's very lenient but not that helpful or clear. Please don't buy the book, you don't need it. There are two exams and one final. There is also a group presentation.

One of the best classes I have taken. He is clear and precise in lecture. Easy to understand in lecture and funny! His tests come straight from lecture and lets you out early because he is efficient in his time given. Its a must take course!

This class is easy to pass. You don't need to buy the book. The tests are strictly from the PowerPoint slides. He usually doesn't take attendance but if he does then it is when a lot of people are missing. There are three tests. There are no other grades. Test are multiple choice and one or two essay questions. Take him!

He is a very nice guy. This class is easy. If you have any questions then he is more than happy to help you. When he teaches, he is clear but he goes through the info rather quickly. There is also a lot of info to remember for the exams. I wouldn't bother getting the textbook because he doesn't follow along with it.
