Adler is a solid prof. He's funny, friendly, clear and knows a lot about dev psych. He records most lectures. His tests are the hardest I've had in uni so far though, but it is possible to get an A. Word of advice: pay attention to his studies he talks about! And the lectures are very important. Pretty dense course but he makes it worth while.

He is a nice and friendly professor. His lecture slides are clear and is very knowledgeable DEV PSYC. He may tend to side track from the material only if asked tangent questions by students. His midterms and final exams are fair. If you go to class, take notes and ask questions you should end up with a B+ to an A. Highly recommended for this course

He is such a nice and friendly man. I took this course in the summer, so it did go pretty fast. That being said, he is very clear in his lectures, and speaks fairly slowly so that you can take notes adequately. I recommend taking this course with this prof. He's very funny and knowledgeable.

Professor Adler is very knowledgeable regarding DEV PSYC and is passionate about the topics. He does ramble a lot but it applies to the discussion. There were only 3 tests, the second being the hardest and he is aware of that. Simply pay attention; he is a nice guy and has no problem answering questions.

Professor Adler is a nice person. Its evident in his lectures and through student-prof interaction. Does tend to ramble during lectures though, but attendance is necessary since tests are lecture heavy (70-80%). Non-cumulative tests (3 full grade). Interesting subject excluding a few chapters. Tests were on the difficult side.

He's really interesting, but he talks A LOT. He posts slides but they're not that detailed, so you should attend lecture and write down what he says. His tests are decently fair, but you really need to study. I used the textbook only three times, but you should get it and use it more than I did.

The content was easy to understand, however the professor was not very clear about what to focus on for tests, which made it difficult as there is a lot of material. He goes off topic a lot during lectures talking about his personal life. Wouldn't recommend this professor.

I absolutely love his class! He is more knowledgeable than half the professors at York combined. His lectures are very clear and focus on very interesting material. He is a great lecturer, and its very easy to listen. You have to attend class and take notes in order to do well; it is not an easy A but a wonderful learning experience.

The best prof at York. He is very organized and clear in his lectures. He always has a smile on his face and takes up ANY question gladly from students. He is very approachable. Exams are straight from the book and his lecture slides. So If you read the book and attend lectures, You'll ace the course. He's also very funny & makes time go by fast

Prof Adler is a very animated lecturer. He makes already interesting material more enjoyable. You MUST attend lectures as his powerpoints don't cover everything. READ the textbook! Textbook is long but not boring if you're interested in the subject. 2 midterms and a final, all are both multiple choice and short answer. SA questions are difficult.

Professor Adler is a great prof! He always has a smile on his face when you ask him a question no matter how silly the question may be. If you want help, he'll be there! His lectures are very clear so I would recommend attending them if you know you may have trouble with the material. The readings can seem dense and the tests are 100% FAIR so STUDY

You pay thousands of dollars into an institution of York university, but yet this guy couldn't post my final exam mark into my final grade and he submitted my final grade as an F. He's a good teacher and all, but this ruined it for me. The fact that I have to fight for my grade shouldn't happen to anyone.

Honestly loved his class. He was very knowledgeable and presented his material very clearly. His tests were exactly from the material covered, nothing too hard. Most of the questions on the test were from the lectures, so classes should be attended. I loved him and will definitely take another course with him if the chance comes up.
