Scott is an amazing instructor and an amazing human being. It was a great joy to listen to his lectures. He is smart, fun and very knowledgeable. He can understand the cultural aspect of art works and the students who come from different backgrounds. He is a good listener and can take your perspective on the work, b/c he is very caring and kind.

Scott is one of my favourite professors at KPU. Even if you arent good with photoshop, he will go easy on you as long as you put time and effort into your work. Hes very inspirational and gives great feed back. Hes always in a good mood which makes class enjoyable. Very caring towards his students and easily accessible if you need help.

He was one of the best profs Ive ever had. Homeworks can be a lot but if you put enough time and effort youll definitely get a good mark (but yes theyre really time consuming). hes so kind and hilarious and youll never get bored in his class.

He is a good teacher, but his class requires a lot of time and efforts to complete. He didn't reply email, and the best time to get a hold on him is in class. This is not a GPA booster class, but if you are interested in Photoshop, you will definitely enjoy and learn a lot from it.

BEWARE: This is NOT a GPA booster class. **The HIGHEST grade you can POSSIBLY get is an A-.** In fact, it requires more time and effort than my other core courses. That being said, if this is your passion, you have the time, and you are ok with an A-, then yes, you will learn quiet a bit from Stott. He is good.

You are really required to put the time to finish your assignment. The instructions are clearly laid out but they require a ridiculous amount of time to complete. Lecture is long at times. The rest are individual work. Must be prepared to show your work or you won't get any feedback for improvement. Very fair marker. No textbook

Having Scott as a teacher was okay and he did go around to help students with projects. I was concerned with him showing past students' work and pointing out their mistakes. I did feel away when he would help and he would talk out loud for those around to hear. I would take his class again but i would probably think twice.

Scott is very understanding that not all students will grasp photoshop and other editing programs as easily. As long as he sees you're making a good effort in class, he will mark you accordingly. If you aren't familiar with the program, it may be difficult to get help during class as the majority of students don't know photoshop either.

if you work hard you'll get high marks. talks to students in a condescending way like we were little children which i hated but most girls loved. knows good art when he sees it. stuck in a 90's kind of understanding about pop culture and music which he makes references to all the time. y'll only learn the basics of digital media in his course.

If more teachers were like Scott, more students would enjoy school. I took FINA 1135 as an elective, and then took FINA 2335 just because he was teaching that class. His classes are awesome. As long as you show him that you put some thought into your work as opposed to "it looks cool," you'll get a good grade. Oh yeah, and show up. It's a gift.

Scott is a great instructor. If you have good IDEAS but not necessarily the technical skills, it's okay. But that's what a lot of art is about - the IDEA. Scott is great - plus, he's involved in the Vancouver visual arts scene (not many others are)
