Comment:
His lectures are unbearably dry and somewhat hard to follow. I don't think I learned much at all, and I am usually interested in this type of material. He is well organized though.

Shlomo is really smart, well organized and always willing to help. However, the class is pretty tough with lots of homework. You also have to get high brainpower (or previous background) to follow him on the lectures (something very important to be prepared for the final).

Not good at all. I agree with the previous comment: " Gives almost no meaningful direction" Lectures are extremely boring, and make no sense whatsoever. He goes very fast, and doesn't explain stuff well. First two hws are very hard and take a lot of time. Other hws are hard too but no programs to write. Tests are ok, if you do homeworks.

A good teacher, clear and helpful, but occasionally sinks into monotony.

The class, for me at least, is one of the harder ones I've taken. His slides are not very good at teaching, but usually when he explains them it makes sense. It is hard to stay awake in class, though. Tests are open-book, but are kind of hard and you are pressed for time.

If you're taking 683, it's more structured and reasonable for workload than with Lesser.
