Pop quizes were unfair. 5 questions per quiz and there were five of them worth 10% of year. Multiple choice based on required readings not past lecture. Very clear and effective speaker with lots of knowledge. I would take another course with him.

I had him for SOCI1016 and SOCI1017. He is a wonderful lecturer, keeping info current and comparing it to past info. I love to hear him talk, he keeps me interested the entire class. I am glad he came back to teach. Professor Stan you ROCK! Keep up the outstanding teaching. Nipissing and all students are lucky to have you around.

Such an awesome man, easiest class to study for. Love that he tells you EXACTLY what he wants, guessing is so pointless when it comes to studying for broad subjects like this. ps, i love how he told us about this site!

He's a bit scattery, and the lectures start out dry, but they pick up if you hang in. He relaxes more once he gets to know the class and I enjoy listening to him. He likes pop-quizzes, which sucks, but at least he's fair about them. Overall, a really great guy.

Nipissing will lose the last member of its original seven when Stan retires this year after 40 years of university teaching. He is an excellent prof who really knows his stuff and what a dresser. Every day he comes to class dressed like he really cares about and respects. This guy is one of a kind. I really learned a lot in his classes.

Soci 1015 year 2004/2005 class. I learned a lot about society. Your lectures were clear and precise. You were very professional in comparison to other professors at the university, thanks. I found my TA unhelpfull at answering essay questions, ie: style requirements.

Stan is a fnatastic instructor. His real life situations make the boring class interesting. The material isn't all that exciting, but hopefully in future years it will become more interesting! Stan is a one-of-a-kind knowledgable individual. The text unfortunatley is not to the point and is very lengthy. Keep up the good work Stan!
