guy is really smart knows his stuff, but his teaching is all over the place. he needs to connect better with the students as they dont come close to possessing the wealth of knowledge that he does. also they fired him from hofstra, a sad story

I had no idea what was going on the entire class, but I think he's a great guy. It wasn't my most enjoyable class, but he made it memorable. I'd only take him if you have some clue about math and can follow him as he jumps around.

He's almost impossible to follow.. jumps from one thing to another in no particular order. Quizzes are the midterm and final, doesn't really collect homework.. Throws things on occassion. Probably knows what he's talking about even though no one else does.

It is a boring subject and he knows that, so he does what he can to make it interesting and keep you from daydreaming. Can be a bit random, even threw a podium during class once. Don't know why. He is very knowledgeable and it seemed that he didn't like teaching such a low level CSC course. You will get the grade you deserve.

The first genius i have ever encountered, or atleast i hope so cause i could barely understand what he was teaching. His DEEP, perfect understanding of math is unbelievable, how someone like this hasnt found the cure for cancer astonishes me. Jumps from concept to concept thinking the students are as quick and smart as he is but arent even close!

If you want to learn nothing, constantly surf the internet, get credit for a math course, and then get a decent grade, take him. Came away with nothing from the class, though my online gaming skills have never been better. He is quite unclear. I never knew what he exactly wanted of us. Pretty generous with exams and grades though.

In all fairness, he seems like a truly sincere and affable person. Caught him on his first attempt of teaching a simulation and modeling class and quite frankly, he was off the mark. Other students say he's a great BCIS professor, but for advanced CSC, he needs work. Enjoyable person though and doesn't look to fail you. Just do the work.

Great Professor, class lectures consist of real-world programming examples, very useful. Always available for extra help. Teaches using the 'learn-by-doing' approach which is superior to some profs who just read a book at you. I looked forward to coming to his class. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I dont know where this guy got a bad rap from...hes cool, he knows his stuff, and oh yeah...HES ACTUALLY AMERICAN!! Def. not an easy A but if u care to learn, u will learn alot! I would 100% recommend if you want to learn VB, i would 100% NOT recommend if your looking for an easy A to fill your schedule....Few assignments, 3 test, no papers

I'm usually a pretty good student and I took him a few semesters ago. He's very hard and does not know how to teach which is the sad part. If you see his name in the Syllabus RUNNNN! This guy doesn't seem to get the point that his tests are way too hard! He ended up giving me a very bad grade.

This class should have been an easy A but Prof. Cosares made it wayyyyy too technical for an intro class! Tests were too hard and asked to you remember nearly impossible things that had NoTHiNg to do with his lectures. Stay farrr away! Take LALLY instead!

he is really nice... gives plenty of time for homework...tests are semi-hard only because he is a bit unclear regarding what will be test material. gives lots of extra credit and always willing to help!
