Comment:

Professor Mezzio is one of the best professors I have had at Pace. He cares a lot about every single students success and his lectures are really engaging and interesting. Really fair grader and lots of opportunities to pad your grade with projects and homeworks as well. Take this professor! You wont regret it.

One of the best accounting professors around. He is extremely knowledgable, and great asset to his students. He is a fair grader. He will definitely prepare you for the audit section of the CPA exam. Take good notes, do the homework, and you'll excel in this class. I highly recommend taking him. Truly, a gem at Pace.

Comment:

Professor Mezzio is a true gem. He prepares you for the auditing section of the CPA exam. To be successful, take good notes on what is to be expected on the exams as there're tricky. We did a sample pilot exam of the future CPA exam, great experience. The team project were hands on experience using tableau and data. Overall, I highly recommend!

Doesn't teach. Just tells you what to study. Does pop up questions and goes around the class. Has favorites especially if you are in BAP. Curves tremendously, which is why every student loves him. You don't actually learn though, unless you teach yourself. Take Dr. O or Prof. Reidenbach if you have the option. Ex PwC partner so has connections.

Great professor! Has very interesting lectures, uses items from actual audit reports and PCAOB standards in them. Very clear in telling homework, what to focus on, what to expect on exams. Assigns interesting group projects on PCAOB inspections of audit firms indicating how they can't audit everything and even they have some weak controls in place.

The class is interesting but not easy. There are four non-cumulative exams, the middle two of which are rather difficult. Questions could be tricky and follow the CPA exam format. Overall I would recommend him. Be prepared to study and memorize extensively.

I took mezzio for auditing and he was my favorite professor I have taken. I found him extremely clear in the material he taught and extremely respectful of students. He is a great teacher, his lectures are not boring. He is just an all around great professor.

Mezzio knows his stuff, you can tell he really loves accounting. This being said his class is very DIFFICULT! if you are not an accounting major and are not up for an extreme challenge do not take him. If you are an ACC major and really like it then his class will benefit you.

The best accounting professor I have had at Pace. He's a good teacher - knowledgable (academically and professionally), easy to understand (clarity and speaks english), helpful/extremely available, and exams are fair. Read the textbook, do the work, take lots of notes, study and you'll get a good grade. Slack off, and you deserve your bad grade.
