Those who only listen to him lecture and never talk to him outside of class seem to be rubbed the wrong way by Teles. However, if you do chat with him, or even e-mail, he is incredibly responsive and helpful. He'll elaborate or give advice on assignments, and he is very interested in his students, and their thoughts.

Took some amazing classes with him and really learned about American politics. Towards the end class was disappointing and didnt think he was that into teaching. Not that helpful to students outside class.

Steven Teles is an arrogant man without much quality to support his arrogance. His classes are full of jargons and trivial talks that virtually makes sitting in his class a waste of students' youth.

Teles is the best.He is a true educator who cares about his students,values their opinions,and won't down-grade if you don't agree with him, which is rare here.He challenges students to really think, not just to regurgitate info.He is demanding even in large lectures, but encouraging @the same time.
