Took this class for a Gen Ed, and hated it. THe whole semester was unbelievably boring, and Bhatia was not a good lecturer or discussion mediator. He LOVES to hear himself talk. He redeemed himself for the final paper because he was SUPER helpful and I ended up being interested in it and proud of the result. Still wouldn't take another class of his

Great teacher. He knows how to run discussions. Very open to student's ideas. Sometimes is slow in returning work and can't read his comments on papers. But really cares for his students.

I thought Prof. Bhatia was very unclear and unorganized. A lot of the work that we had due was all at the last minute and he was PAINFULLY slow in returning work. Also, Prof. Bhatia enjoys hearing himself speak and appears to not care about students' opinions.

He talks way too much and he thinks that he is great, but he is certainly not unlikeable. He breaks you up into small conversation groups a lot which is sometimes nice, and I never did the reading. What he gives you as a grade on your first thing will be your grade all along, so do well on that!

Bhatia can be very arogant and egotistical. he loves to brag & hear himself talk. Although he can lead interesting lectures and is very passionate, he talks way too much and ALWAYS goes past the end of class, rushing to fit in his extremely verbose overheads. and he is not very understanding!

Sunil is a great teacher, though sometimes a bit disorganized. He has trouble writing properly, which makes things rather unclear, and will rush to finish a lesson in time. A good human being and great discussion leader. Pity the class was awful.
