Comment:

Lectures are extensive and kind of drag on. She knows her stuff and is a really good professor and reference. Material isnt terribly difficult and there is a good amount of field work and hikes associated with this class.

Disaster. Her train of thought is extremely hard to follow and her lecture outlines don't even help. Seems to focus only on things of interest to her. Jumps around course material. Would have been a good class if she followed a textbook. Easy grader though!

She is very "all over the place" and critical on your work, but an easy grader. My big problem was how BORING she was to me. I was not interested in listening most of the time and she drags on a bit. but shes an ABSOLUTELY sweet and nice teacher.

Comment:

Dr. Gresens is extremely smart and it shows. Boring class, but her nutty personality made it better. Class consisted of 2 tests and a non cumulative final, field trip, and a few other assignments. Do not overlook this class. Many people do and end up not doing well. Use her study guides! If you can answer them, then you are good for the test.

She really is a nut, her lectures are pretty entertaining though. I don't think anyone picked up the book once so I wouldn't bother getting it for 402. Overall I thought she was a pretty good teacher.

Dr. Gresens is a super nice lady but she talks a lot and sometimes isn't so clear. She is a really easy grader but there are a few HARD lab reports, so don't do them at the last minute! Overall it's an ok class.

She's a nut! Out of class shes helpful but other than that she's terrible. By far the worst teacher I've ever had! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!! Her study guides are pointless, you might as well memorize the book. If you do not read her mind on what she wants for the answer on a test, it's wrong, even when your answer is completely right! Class is pointless

Comment:

She was great! She really loves what she teaches andis a really fun teacher. She's funny in an odd way. Likes to show slides a lot. She is REALLY longwinded. Don't expect to get out early or have a class cancelled. Tests are kind of difficult and study guides she gives are useless. Don't waste your money on a book. She great, highly recommend.

Very thorough and always willing to give extra help. Will never let you out early. Talks very fast and forgets to breathe sometimes. Overall, excellent teacher! Best I've had at Towson so far! Don't bother buying the book.

Comment:

This class is an absolute waste of time and I hate that I had to take it. Still, Dr. Gresens is very helpful but test questions don't exactly reflect what is gone over in class. She makes study guides to help but this class is more trouble than its worth. Better than Botany and Zoology though; its only a condensed version of the two.

Excellent teacher. Very expressive, enthusiastic, and excited about the suject matter. Very knowlegable, and included interesting anecdotes to liven up lectures. Goes the extra mile to help students & will meet outside of class to help you. Personable and respectful of students. Helped me to understand concepts that other teachers made confusing.

Dr. Gresens notes are all over the place and very confusing. She keeps you late almost every class period, so I was always late to my next class and her tests are extremely hard and review sheets are useless bc they have everything on them that you ever learned. DO NOT TAKE UNLESS YOU HAVE TO!!! she's a nice lady outside of her teaching abillities.

Shes a great teacher. Very invovled, cares whether you learn, and is open to any questions. She trys to compact as much material as she can in each 50 min lecture class. Sometimes she almost runs out of breath cause she talks so fast. But she is a really cool, understanding teacher.
