Comment:

Professor Schott is excellent. I would highly recommend taking her class for Statistical Methods II and III. She allows a formula sheet on exams, which are straight-forward as long as you show up to lectures and practice the problems at the end of each chapter. I would take her class again.

Comment:

Amazing professor, she totally just gets it. Loved every second of her class she made everything easy. Study from the textbook and you'll pass no problem. She lets you use a formula sheet on every test and quiz so as long as you know how to read your own handwriting you can pass the class.

Comment:

Professor Schott is great! I hated stats in high school and she made me love it. She is very clear with what she wants you to know and will review before each exam. Make sure to show up to class though and STAY AWAKE, she might be a little dull at times but she knows what she's talking about. Always write the cheat sheet... you WILL need it. STUDY.

Professor Schott is the best math professor I have ever had. I have struggled with statistics in the past, but now have an A in this course. If you go to class, you should have no issue passing and will not need to read the textbook, since she explains the material perfectly. Go through homework problems and her worksheet and you will get an A!

She's the best Stats professor. Very clear in lecture and amazingly helpful in office hours. She assigns practice problems from the book that will be on the tests so be sure you do all the optional homework. I'd take her again.

Her class was very fair. She went through each of the concepts with an example and went through it step by step. She gives you all the necessary things to pass tests, just have to do it. The only downside would be the tests only have 25 questions, so just 3 questions wrong, you get a B. But overall, great teacher, just have to put in the work

She makes her class too difficult then it should be plus the way you get graded in this class is poor. Only 4 exams, none gets dropped and her lectures are dull and will put you to sleep. If you could pick another professor I would!

Professor Schott's class overall isn't too difficult as long as you attend all the lectures. Definitely attend any SI or SARC sessions to help with any clarification on information. She's also very helpful during her office hours. I recommend using Clutch Prep too for supplemental information, but not for learning all the class material.

Comment:

This is my second time taking the class. If you aren't a strong math person you need to go to every class, do all the homework, ask questions and you'll suceed. These concepts aren't easy, but Prof Schott is there for you, will help you and stay after class to answer questions. Take advantage, she is such a nice teacher and cares for her students.

She is a great professor, but as far as the class goes: there are only 4 grades the whole semester (3 tests and 1 final) and nothing gets dropped. No extra credit either... this made it really hard to get an A. Just do all her homework and go to the SI sessions!

Math is not my strong suit but i can humbly say I'm an above average student and i was not able to perform well in this class. I'm a visual learner and the lack of step by step material hurt me in the long run. Doing the homework is a must to better understand the topics. She gives 4 grades plus the final. No extra credit.

Schott is a really nice professor but her tests are only 20-25 questions, making it easy to get a poor grade. I never went to class and got an A, but I definitely studied a lot for that A. Then again, I'm not really a stats person. Study and don't underestimate this class! With that being said, it's definitely possible to do well/get an A.

I learned so much from her class. Her tests are ok but you have to study for them. She is a great teacher. She is very helpful, patient, always there for you whenever you need help. She is very nice and very friendly.

GO TO CLASS! Take notes off her Powerpoints because she does NOT post them. There are only 3 tests & the final. No extra credit. It's really not a hard class but don't underestimate it. Do the optional hw assignments, they are helpful and in several instances a hw problem will show up on a test.

Professor Schott is clear on what is due and gives lots of examples. There is no schedule on the syllabus so you need to go to class to know what is due and how to do the homework. There is a group projectpresentation that helps to understand how all the concepts are put together. Class uses combo of powerpoint and notes written on board.

Don't take the word of the reviewer below me. Honestly, I've yet to show up to a SINGLE class except tests, but I've aced every test. So long as you do ALL of the optional homework, plus the class worksheets, plus taking advantage of the 1 FULL PAGE BACKFRONT of whatever notes you want to bring to the test, you shouldn't have any problems.
