Really disappointed. Professor Payne treated us like middle schoolers, and nearly all of the material was review. She's definitely knowledgeable about cognitive psychology, and she's friendly, but I didn't learn anything in this class.

The homework is more often than not as simple as watching a TED talk and giving a response and making a toy bird talk. Such an easy class that it's possible to do poorly because you don't do anything. Also I found it to be not intellectually stimulating. She also doesn't really seem to have much of a plan for each day.

Very easy class. Smart woman but she seems a little scatter brain at times. However if you don't already have some interest in psychology you might find the class boring, and her anecdotes about her life range from funny to just kind of depressing. However good class and good professor.

I love T-Payne! She is the nicest woman in the world. Cognitive is such a great class--I had her last year and I learned so much. Take good notes and you will be fine. She is extremely bright and deserved her tenure.

Payne is a very nice woman who cares about the students/material, but the class itself felt like an AP high school class. Not very stimulating, boring, and not a lot of motivation to work hard.

Professor Payne is amazing. I loved cognitive psych. She is so interesting and funny. I wish I could take another class with her before I graduate. You can learn alot from her...just come to class and take good notes.

She's really sweet and I get the feeling she really likes teaching, but her class just isn't that good. Her tests are strangely specific and her lectures are blatant summaries of the book, but don't leave you knowing what to focus on. It's way too broad and just boring.

A painfully boring professor who goes through the same drill every single day (read a powerpoint for 1 hour and 20 minutes). She's pretty easy, and very nice but her tests often stray from the material. Might as well come to class with a pillow.

Tests didn't seem to match up to lectures very well.Grading doesn't make sense...in most classes its impossible to get 100% on a presentation/project...not sure about the criteria for grading. but lectures are not bad.

Payne is a totally nice person-sort of interesting, sort of funny-but being a nice person doesn't make her a good professor. Her intro class was incredibly boring and incredibly easy, but I feel like anything I learned I feel came from the book (which she almost read verbatim). Avoid at all costs.

easiest class ever--she is nice but painfully stupid--ex: her case study was to sit outside of the**** section at a video store in Mt vernon and see the girl to guy ratio of who goes in

I can't believe our government chose this woman to work on top-secret air-force projects. Apparently you shouldn't show up to class with a 2 liter of Pepsi. As an Atlanta native, she'll hold it against you.

She's very sweet, & the class is very easy, but she's not the sharpest crayon in the box. I didn't crack the textbook all semester.
