brilliant. its all about the cleavage. no just half kidding, smiling and batting eyelashes helped too. you do no work! you write a journal the night before and talk about how you have bonded with the earth or how beautiful the skies are. and there are loads of boyz in the class. it was legendary accross the pioneer valley.

Students don't respect Yamashita-sensei; they ridicule him. Say he's a horrible prof. But how many of the students are listening? Because he's seemingly rambling on about Britney Spears, etc doesn't mean that he isn't teaching; often, his 'ramblings' are very much related to the concepts he's trying to teach. Ex: When I was there, he made a comment about how he loved dancing girls (students were shocked). In context (had ppl been listening) was that he is not perfect or as virtuous as Confucius or Buddha.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. yes you'll get an A and laugh at a few of his jokes but that is NOT what makes a class accpetable for teaching. This class is a joke. I took it for the easy A hoping to at least learn something, I have many regrets.

Mr yamashita is so incredibly nice. Don't whine about getting an easy A. Do the readings even though you dont have to. Go to the meditation sessions. His course will raise your spirits any day.

The absolute worst waste-of-time class ever! The professor is SOO boring and has no idea what he is talking about! His lectures are completely ambiguous and I learned nothing. Yes, it's an easy A, but it's a waste of time and money. DON'T BOTHER!!!

Yeah yeah so his grading is ambiguous. Fortunately, he generally gives out A-'s and A's, so who really cares? Personally, I appreciated a class with ZERO HOMEWORK AND NO EXAMS, just a paper to write. And he has a pretty refreshing attitude.

I really disliked this class. He grades on a whim, is boring and diff. to understand. I learnt NOTHING in this class and regret taking it even though I got an A. It's my only A that means nothing. Butter him up and you'll get at least an A-.
