I found his pseudo-intellectual style of teaching to be quite boring and monotonous. Sir, is it really necessary to use such extravagant words in a music lecture? I'm not saying he is not smart, but when you use complex words simply to show off, you come across as quite arrogant.

This is quite possibly the best and most interesting professor I have ever had. Not only is he passionate about the subject, but he knows so much about it. I recommend both classes that he teaches at Brock. He is also available to help you if you need clarification on anything.

I came to that class quite often stoned off my face. He is a giant goof. Very entertaining. As for the people who complain about the amount of work, its far less than a philosophy elective or something like that. The attendance req'ment sucks balls, but the work out of class probably totals up to less than 20 hours for a whole school year

Excellent prof! He remembered my name for the whole year after only meeting with him once! Quirky, intellectual, very helpful prof. You shouldn't sit in the back of the class if you want to get engaged in his lectures. Has a great taste in music too!

Loved that course. His lectures are a performance unto themself. I remember someone telling him he looked funny dancing on stage and he quipped "Oh I don't give a****," and danced on. Maybe not for everyone, but my kinda prof! Read his vitae..it appears he's a hell of an artist and knows a thing or two about "culture"

Professor Cox is a teacher you will either love or hate, much like his Music in Pop Culture Class. His lecturing style is very over the top, and he comes off as almost arrogant. However, he is clearly passionate about his topic. I enjoyed his class very much!
