Very tough grader and gives so much work. Grading criteria is also very confusing. I went to his office hours for my final paper and he told me everything looked good. When I turned it in the next week he gave me a C-. Tough grader and doesn't even give good feedback.

Comment:

Dr. Lee was my favorite professor of the semester. He gave the best feedback, and although there are a lot of papers, all of his advice will help you when you are writing your term paper. Dr. Lee always left his door open, and if you take his advice and fix your writing accordingly, you should be able to be very successful in this class.

I thought he was a great teacher!! When I got my papers back he would write comments on how well I did and what he liked about my paper but when I reached the back page where my grade was it would be around a C, and once a D+. He doesn't explain what you aren't doing right unless you go to his office hours and beg him to explain what was wrong.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Received C+ on every paper I wrote for his class no matter how many times I had it edited by the Success Center. Also, when he handed paper back he would write what he liked about your paper but would never explain what you could improve on. Lectures are very boring. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

Dr. Lee is a professor who lets his students explore their own interests while still learning good writing skills. Others say he is difficult, but if you ask him any question he will make sure to clarify it until you completely understand. In regards to Engl 123 I don't think he's a hard grader, either. One of the best and brightest teachers.

My far, Dr. Lee was my favorite professor at CNU. He is not easy but you will learn more in his classes than you will from any other professor. He always chooses interesting topics, and as long as you show interest in his favorite topics, he will like you. Keep an open line of communication with him for brownie points!

I was looking forward to taking this class. I had heard both good things and bad things from other students about Lee. Taking the class, I really don't like his teaching style. He's not very clear and he seems to talk in code. The students run the class and teach more than he does. And he grades really hard and picks favorites in class. Not a fan.

I also had him for ENGL 372, with mixed feelings for both classes. He's a competent person and professor, but is sometimes unclear with what he wants. I had a tough time trying to fit my papers to his occasionally vague expectations. If you're having problems talk to him. Even if you don't get any insight, at least he knows you're trying.

Dr. Lee is a cool teacher. He knows so much about the period that it is overwhelming. His way of going over the literature makes the class better than it could be. He is a harder grader I think though, but not impossible. Nice person too.

Dr. Lee is probably my favorite professor at CNU. I've only taken journalism classes with him, so I can't speak for his literature classes, but on the journalism end he's wonderful. Passionate about the subject, and always willing to talk to students and help you out any way he can. Very lenient on assignments, due dates, etc. Accomodating.

Dr. Lee is a really nice guy and a good teacher. His expectations can be kind of abstract and unclear at times but he's very easy to talk to and you can tell he likes getting to know his class which makes it more fun. Just participate in class discussions and show up, you will be fine, he's a really nice guy.

Lee is the type of teacher that you don't want to love, but you can't help it. Has a good sense of humor, will talk about almost anything in class, very helpful and will go the extra mile with internships, etc. Cons: he is possibly the flightiest person ever, and will forget your name if you don't make yourself known. He also plays favorites.
