Dr. Thompson was the best and most interesting teacher at State. to the casual learner, he was hard and boring. To the serious scholar, he was a well of pure thinking and knowledge. Not everyone needs to be in college and they can never appreciate his depth. State is a lesser institution since he retired.Enjoy your retirement, Dr. Lob

He is not a good teacher for he intimates his students and is awful rude to them. He tells his class that half of them will fail the first day. He is very hard and can be very hateful. He was an awesome teacher. He is willing to help all you have to do is ask. He has great lectures and is interested in his students. He wants them to do well and is willing to help. I suggest taking him, but be willing to read and study.

I loced Dr. thompson, he was one of the best professors I ever had the privelage to take. Expects a lot out of his students, esp Soc. majors. however, gives a lot in return. I recommend anyone to take him if you get a chance.
