She is extremely knowledgeable of the subject matter and her lectures are clear and informative. However, her tests are very, very difficult and she is a tough grader on both the tests and the homework/papers. I had to put hours and hours into her class on a weekly basis and give up weekends the week of an exam to study just to pull off a B.

I just took it for this semester, she's very easy, you go to class, listen to her lecture, and take notes, but you gotta be a good note taker, cuz she talks so fast and try to get as much as you can while she's talking. she will tell you what to study for the test and just go right to it and you will get an A. no class/homework/paper, only 3 test.

It was a local history course, and she loved to hear stories. Knows the social history of Baltimore to a tee, no lightweight in other areas. Communicated a lot of obscure information to us. Sweet, helpful teacher, but her midterm grading is easily described as blunt force trauma. I loved the class though, you really grasp charm city in the end.

Very good class. She is extremely nice. You are challenged, but fairly. Weekly open-note quizzes on the readings (provided with possible Q's ahead of time-great way to boost your grade). No surprises on the exams (you're given a choice on which Q's you want to answer). Gives great review sheets. I dislike history and loved this class. Recommended!

She and Dr.Gray are the nicest and sweetest teachers at TU.Class was interesting, but tests were hard.I would fill 2 blue books up with essays and ID's.However,I would only get a B on them. Class Averages were in the low C's and D's.Lots of F's too.10 Page Paper.Overall I got a dissapointing B. O well.Still a WONDERFUL PERSON and TEACHER!Vey Caring

This class is very easy. There are weekly open-note quizes where she gives you the questions ahead of time that are from the reading. You only need to read the book that the questions are taken from. The passages are short and well written. The exams are harder but just study. She likes detail. I hate history and I loved this class.

she's a very clear and organized teacher(so your notes will be really good). she gives a quiz once a week (usually), but she gives you the questions ahead of time. you have to do the reading bkz that's what the quizzes are on. tests are not the easiest - she wants details.

Tests can be tough, but as long as you can take good notes & follow the outlines she gives in class, you can do ok in the class. She does really enjoy history & makes it less of a dry subject. I would take her again!

Hist-Baltimore. She is quite thorow in her pre-Civil War 17th-18th century industrial hist of Balt. It gets boring and your hand gets tired from all the notes (have to take them) She assigns lots of required reading, but not necissary for understanding material. Tests are lots of writing-TAKE NOTES!
