He's one of the teachers that actually care about you. He's very nice and chill and will give you feedback if you go to his office hours. He's very understanding of us all college students, even made a change to the syllabus because he saw how expensive our textbook was and told us we were kids we don't need to buy it. Amazing, love him so much.

Professor Dowd made me work and forced me to be comfortable speaking in front of everyone, which is absolutely out of my comfort zone. It was hard at first and his feedbacks seemed to not have helped but when I look back I don't regret taking his class and are actually grateful that he pushed me to be confident and comfortable speaking in public

public speaking is boring. but he is a funny and smart teacher. he does what he can to make you understand what he is saying and never puts you down even when you do horribly. he knows what he's doing so listen to him! i recommend him!

Pretty unclear about assignments but doesn't grade too hard. If you're a perfectionist, your issue briefs will never be done, you have to be okay with not turning in your best work. But he is very anal about memorization and analysis of text. Kind & helpful 1-on-1 but mean sometimes in class. Goes on irrelevant tangents.

Thomas is what you might call "eye candy." His critical thinking class is interesting and involves a good amount of philosophy. Everyone can pass this class--most can manage an A. I'm glad I took this instead of public speaking!! do it.

I think this class was really interesting and I learned so much just from all the research. You have to do a lot of research for debates. He is sometimes unorganized and unclear about what the assignments were, but that is my only complaint. Other than that, I loved the class!

Dowd is a really cool guy. I took him for debate, so he was constnatly collecting hw assignments, grading, etc. He seemed very unorganized and frantic. Thats how it can get for you unless you pay attention to what is due and when and talk to him. Good class, learned a lot about debate and comm.
