Comment:

Teacher that helps with what books and lessons the publishers teach. Many of his students never said he was Jesus, solid teacher and person. Does much to help continuing education students and first generation students on campuses.

Dr. Howard is really not that bad. You have to get in the chapters all week to grade out higher then a B. Great class, educational firm but fair. :)

Comment:

Unlike most of these ratings, I am myself now a professor highly rated on this site and on-campus by both students and peers. Dr. Howard was an inspiration to me. I'm a doctor and only took his class my senior year for fun - but what a class. If you are serious about learning, if you are intelligent, take this man. Otherwise, who cares.

Dr Howard is a very knowledgeable guy, but doesn't do well with online or distance courses. His level of online involvement is emailing him your assignments- nothing more. And do print the syllabus the first day it's available because he WILL remove it from his page.

Dr. Howard maybe a very intelligent man, but he is unable to grasp 21st century technology that is required for an online course. His grading system is arbitrary at best, and you receive no feedback for the work that you do, so no chance in correcting any mistakes that you make for future reference.

I took his online Arkansas History course and regret it the waste of time and money. He is NOT a good online teacher. The expectations are excessive (you have to visit 3 museums in LR, no NWA options). Communication and feedback is limited. Treats students like they're 19 year old undergrads, not working professionals with families.

Are you kidding me? He had all the British Museum at his disposal, and couldn't make an interesting Bible class out of it. Arrogant, authoritarian, and not as clever as he thinks he is. I'd rather stab myself with a pencil than take him again.

I had several classes with & even went to HUG with him. He's a great teacher with lots of stories which he loves to tell. He knows his stuff & is willing to help you out when you need it.

I can't beleive I paid Harding tuition prices to fill in maps of the world with country names (can you say nation-states?). I did that in 4th grade geography for free! Does the bookstore sell those cute little colored map pencils?
