Comment:
Dr. Lewis is enthusiastic, well-versed in his subject, and a wonderful lecturer. He genuinely cares about the success of his students. He's definitely snarky so I guess avoid if you don't like a professor with a sense of humor? Tldr; he's one of the few math professors at Furman that isn't rude and incompetent.

Dr. Lewis is one of the best teachers I have ever had who genuinely enjoys teaching. The way I would describe his corse is that he does everything possible to help you understand the material and succeed but you have to put in the time and effort. He is extremely punctual showing up five minutes every class and is willing to meet after class.

Dr. Lewis really is a good professor, he just teaches a tough subject. The test are tricky but questions mostly come from class notes. Tends to grade tough as he likes things done a certain way. Homework is not required but helps. Assignments weekly for grades. He truly does want his students to do well, you just have to put in work.

GREAT TEACHER! I love T. Lewis. Had to drop the class because it was too difficult, but I hadn't taken a Calculus class before. Students who had previous knowledge of calc did just fine. Great guy, always willing to meet with students outside of class. Notes are taken every day, probably smart not to skip.

I enjoyed real analysis with Dr. Lewis. His lectures were well structured and clear. His assignments complemented lectures and introduced interesting questions. The ability to solve problems independently is important in this class because Dr. Lewis never give you the answer if you have not thought about it. Tests focused on understanding of concep

Dr. Lewis is in my opinion the best math professor at Furman. His course is by no means easy, and will require you to think and push through difficult material. With this being said, the man knows how to teach. He is an excellent communicator, knows the material like the back of his hand, and genuinely cares. If you are willing to work, choose him.

It is a difficult class, but calculus is a tough subject. If you've taken calculus before you shouldn't have a problem though. If you have to take MTH-150 he's the professor you want to take. Only negative is that his class is usually at 8:30am 4 days a week.

Dr. Lewis is a great math teacher. He explains concepts very well and will spend more time if you need it. His tests are very straightforward; he never gives a problem he hasn't gone over before. He also gives take home quizzes which can be done with notes and other resources. He cracks some math jokes for entertainment. Hard subject, great teacher!

Difficult class. But it's a rough subject. He does very well trying to relay the information in an understandable way. Top-rate professor. Caring, helpful, intelligent, and great communication skills. Do your homework(can up your grade), study, study, and make sure you understand it all. Come to class, you'll thank yourself when you do.

This class was miserable, but I don't know if that's Lewis' fault. It just proved to me that I'm not a math person. I did the work, but the last 2 sections are just impossibly difficult. His notes are pretty good, but he is very little help outside of class. Make sure to work hard on the small assignments because they can save your grade!

Dr. Lewis is a very good teacher. Calculus is a diffuclt subject, but he does his best to make it clear. Tests are fairly easy if you know the material, an A is definatly possible. HW assignments are mostly optional, but if you start slacking off you understanding will suffer. If you like math, you will love the class and Dr. Lewis.

Can I just say That I love math first of all, I am very much math minded.... I've never made lower than an A until I took Dr. Lewis.... Terrible teacher, very rude and not helpful in any way shape or form. Math at Furman is bad, but he takes aweful to a whole new level. Genuinely hated the class and wish I never took it. GPA killer! Be warned
