Comment:

Gives vague/little to no feedback in consultations. Will leave details out in her project outlines and then just grade based on what majority of the class did. Tells you she likes your work in consult and then hands out 60s. Very unmotivating and discouraging prof overall. Also very behind the times and her grading scheme is all over the place.

Tracey is great teacher, as long as you have a knowlege in the software (Ai & In) then you're set! Bring alot to consult if you want to perfect your peice of work before handing it in. Those who did not decide to truley ask a lot of questions, failed to get good grades from her. She loves certain things (colours mustard & hand rendered type.

Oh Tracey, She gives legitimacy to the course. She is tough, motivating, vague... She will not tell you what to do, that would be a disservice to your creative journey. She is there for you to ask questions, she provides beautiful refined examples. Getting a good mark from Tracey feel great because she makes you work hard for it. The best!

Comment:

To be honest it felt like Tracey didn't know what she wanted or what she was doing. If you weren't one of her favorite's you had the hardest time in her class. She would tell you how much she liked your work during consult and not tell you how to improve. Then you'd get the project back with no more then a C grade. Very discouraging!

Comment:

Tracey was the most best teacher I had while taking Graphic Design at Durham. She inspired me work hard and create great work. As other posters may have stated she is tough but the design industry is rough and she treated us just like any creative director would. She is one of the biggest type nerds I have met and should be very proud of that!

Tracey is an awesome teacher. Obviously if you're a lazy graphic design student and do your things last minute, she'll know. She's got a literal hawk eye for spelling mistakes, so watch out. People are saying she's weird, she's actually not -- she's cool. Just don't get on her bad side, by just straight up being rude. Stay Classy.
