This guy... hes extremely intelligent and clearly well read, but for a freshman level Inquiry course it was ridiculous. Expected way too much and made a class that is supposed to be a cake walk into one of the hardest classes Ive taken at scsu. Its been years and Im still annoyed.

Dr. Paddock can be a bit of a cynic when talking about the state of humanity but he is funny and one of the most genuinely kind people I have met. Do your work, show some initiative and genuine interest in the subject and you should be in good shape. He gives great feedback! The only problem I ran into was that he talks pretty quietly at times.

He truly tries to see you succeed. He let us retake our Midterm exam because it was difficult. Study ALL of the terms he shows on the power points. Main textbook is not needed. Gives extra points for attendance. Tells a lot of jokes. Overall nice guy.

This was a tough class but he allows for rewrites of the papers and gives out an exam outline before the exam. Make sure you read any assigned text since he will want to discuss them. He is a nice guy who simply expects you to do the assigned work. Show up, read, and do the work and you"ll never have an issue.

Unless you seriously enjoy history, especially 20th century history, take this class. The professor, while good and has a grip on what he teaches, is an extremely tough grader. He will grade rough and be vague on what you need to fix, but he DOES allow REWRITES. He is really awesome teacher but writing essays are key, take advantage of office hours

Excellent professor. Knows what he is talking about, listen to what he says can help you later in papers. Looks for discussion so make sure you read the material but also wants your questions. He handles the topic well and introduces things that might not be known already. If you are interested in this class take it you won't be disappointed.

This class was very interesting and was able to hold my attention all semester. You must read and participate or you will not do well in the course. It is a lot of work for a 200 level class but you will be a better student because of it. he also lets you rewrite your papers so you can improve your grade. Attendance is mandatory.

I thought he was pretty fair and I believe that its easy to get a solid grade in his class. Attendance is mandatory, but it serves to boost your grade. He has discussions on Vista, which boost your grade also. The quizzes are all online, there's no reason to get bad grades on them. Also, his midterm/final is all multiple choice.

His class is really boring, especially if you are not a fan of history to begin with.He puts way to much information on the slides. and the quizzes are online and are very difficult to pass. Attendence is mandortory because he uses a clicker system. Nice guy, heard class. He oftens mumbles when he speaks too.

I'm in his HIS 101(present. Its a hard class. This is not the class for those people who are relying to notes and yet want an A+. He gives all the notes, U can print it out, but then if U did not read the book, the shortened words he used would seem unclear to U. And the quizzes are quite hard, I got a 70 when I know I expected to get at least 85.

Dr Paddock knows his stuff, he will push you but in the end you will be a better student. If he sees you are trying he will help but you have to put in the effort to get the help. He gives a lot of notes but they help. There was one large paper due at the end but you get to pick the topic (related to the course ex Nazi propaganda) so its not bad.

His class is a big bore. The tests are easy enough to pass just follow the unit overviews that he posts online. It's always a ridiculous amount of information though, so make sure you start a few days prior to the test. He has one of those stupid clicker systems so attendance counts which is more annoying than anything since he's very dull.
