He had very boring lectures and it was hard for me to pay attention. Takes attendance to award for bonus points. There are 3 essays, 2 tests, and the final. I don't recommend taking this teacher.

Very Boring! Just reads from the pwrpnts..word..for..word. you MUST read the book. Exam reviews are useless. None of his pwrpnts coinside with the book. If he did not take attendance I DEFINITELY would not attend class. I could read the pwrpnts and book at home and learn just as much. Only good thing, he gives HUGE curves on the tests.

This gotta be the most worthless POS teacher I have ever encounter in my life......... At a university they need to keep him in check, not allowing him to do what ever he felt like it. I swear he waste students time and money and do not teach us what we need to learn, but just crap. I really hate this man.... OMG

Tests are multiple choice on computer, but normally have nothing to do with anything he lectures about. Most of lectures are propaganda for a political opinion and the class spends almost all its time on current "issues." Test are all based on book, which he never covers, lectures sound more like a sermon.

Tests usually have nothing to do with what is discussed in class, or if they do, they aren't what was in the notes. I thought the material was clear & easy to understand until I got to the test, which was really hard even though I came to class and studied. Took this class in summer & everyone I talked to did REALLY bad on the final!

As long as you keep in mind that the study guides are a list of topics and not vocabulary words, and you read the assigned chapters paying special attention to that, his class is fairly easy. 90 percent of the test questions are straight out of the text and his curves are VERY generous. He knows a lot and is interesting to listen to!

He was an amazing professor and I learned a lot from his class. He makes you read the text, which just broadens your knowledge. He was very interesting, and Made me have a love of geography I never had. It helps to read the material, attend class, and take good notes. He is humorous and helpful. Pretty heavy courseload.

Was alright. Allows some latecoming but really seemed not to like early leavers. He knows his material and if technical problems arise then he has back up. Only it is best if there isn't a problem. He does give out a review sheet for test of keywords, people and terms. Hard to tell what his political leanings are which is nice. Not bad.

He is a good teacher and really knows his stuff, but what you have to study is very unclear. You have to be careful to because he goes off on tangents in the middle of the class, but sometimes they are on the test. Attendance is not mandatory, but you need to go to EVERY class!

Very scholarly and informative professor, he knows what he is talking about and uses notes from other sources as well as from the textbooks. He gives generous curves which depend on the overall class performance. He also gives extra credit. I would recommend him.

Absolutely worst professor i have had in my whole life, does not help you if you have a question after class tells you to ask your peers. notes are REally useless, review sheet really stinks just give keyterms and when you take the test it goes really in to detail about things that are not even importan think 1000 times before taking him. very bad

Easy proff and has some amusing moments. Will tell you what information is important while lecturing. Just study the review and you'll be fine. Oh, and I recommend doing the extra credit book. It looks impossible but just spread it out over time. It'll bump you up a FULL grade when you turn it in at the final exam day.

He looks like Hans Moleman from the Simpsons. I thought I would do really good in the class but the test were not over the major point he talks about in lectures, but there was an awesome curve so I got a B. His lectures are interesting and although attendance isn't mandatory, I'd recommend it.

Incredibly boring - he just sits at the front of the room and lectures with no emotion, goes on random, ridiculous tangents about his messed up life and boring political view. I didnt learn anything in this class. Sorry, but stay away if you can.

Some reviews of this prof. are merely opinions. Mote enjoys geo. He teaches his own way however his tests are really easy, I only skim read the book, didnt do the study guide(extra credit) and got an A- in his class.
