Don't waste your money and buy the book just go to every class and I mean every class and take notes!They are all you need to do well on the exams,study from them.The professor is absolutely hilarious some of her jokes are so weird but she makes you crack up every time you attend the class.2 papers 4 exams pretty straight forward class.

Comment:

Her human sexuality course is pretty interesting.However she focuses too much on CULTURES you don't need to be aware of.I hated that the course grade is based on just 500 points (3 exams and two portfolios). If you do poor on one exam you basically can't get an A anymore. Attendance is mandatory to pass & you have to well since Day 1 to get an A!

I highly recommend taking her. Her class was straight forward and there wasn't anything that you are tested on that she did not cover in class. There were four midterms and we had a non-cumulative "final" that was the fourth midterm. The tests were easy since they were just like the study guide. She's also very enthusiastic when teaching.

She is very interested in her class and as long as you show up and fill in the study guide, the tests are easy. I have gotten As on all her tests and B/A on my papers (there are 2). The class is fun, the slides are short and to the point. She makes jokes during the lectures to make the class interesting.

Gives study guide way in advance so you can fill out while she lectures. She lectures the study guide answers. She trys very hard to keep everyone entertained. I hate biology and do not like to study and I still got B's on all the tests. Just write down the answers and look over the study guide. Did both papers the night before and got A's on both.

Victoria Johnson is a great professor! She tries to keep everyone interested by making sexual jokes. She's funny, she's helpful, and her overhead slides are straightforward. Textbook NOT needed. Exams are based off her study guides. Easy A paper assignments. It's a no-brainer class. I passed even though I slept through the lectures a lot. ;)

You can really tell that she enjoys teaching the subject a lot. Her powerpoints are not wordy, straight to the point. She hands out a study guide on every unit you do. FILL THESE OUT during lecture. Her tests are basically the study guide, but you can come across tricky questions. Easy class if you go to class and study.

She is a very nice teacher, funny at times too. You must go to lecture in order to fill out her review sheet. personally that review sheet sucks! too many questions to study so she can only choose 50. you must study alot to receive a good grade.

Very experienced and knowledgeable. Lectures are very interesting and informative. Professor Johnson is not bias at all and does prep prior to every class. This class requires attendance to every class. A lot of work put into the portfolio and study guides are quite long. Exams are not super easy, but if you do all the work ... you can get an A.

The lectures in this class were actually rather enjoyable, considering that I don't really like bio. Victoria is a really funny person and you can tell that she absolutely loves teaching. As long as you attend class and take good notes, you'll do good. Recommended class for your GE!

Seriouslly would have changed my major to biology if someone guaranteed me that I was going to have this wild professor for all of my biology courses. Best part is that she is really interested in teaching students about biology. Has lots of experience.

Interesting class. If you don't want to go to class, have the book. She gives you study guides for the exam and either pay attention to the lecture and answer the guide or use the book. Class is interesting though gets boring. Still uses overhead slides and yes, some images are explicit. But that's what college bio is about! Recommend taking her.

You will definitely learn in this class, but I really disliked Victoria. She was really opinionated, and pretty annoying. I hated sitting through her lectures because she would always choose the most disturbing photos for her slides. Be warned, she loves getting a reaction from her students. Aside from that though, I suppose she's effective.
