I have taken Professor Smemoe three times, and would again. Class wasn't stressful, neither was homework. Interesting readings and good discussion, really enjoyed going to class and enjoyed the homework and final paper. This is what college should be like - less stress, more learning, comfortable environment. Super clear lectures, slides online.

Dr. Smemoe is awesome! Very sweet and helpful. I love her class. Interesting and interactive. Tests are all short-answer but she gives a study guide that goes over pretty much exactly what will be on the test. Would recommend!

I loved Prof. Baker (Smemoe is her new name)! She is so awesome. She makes confusing things very easy to understand and class is fun - I looked forward to going. This class is an easy A if you just do the work and come prepared. Take this class from her!

Psycholinguistics was super interesting. Though I wish we could've gone into deeper detail on a lot of the things we learned, that wasn't Dr. Baker's fault. All the tests were take-home open book tests so just put effort into the class and you'll do great.

Dr. Baker is super helpful, happy, and clear. Her study guides were amazingly clear. I studied those and got 95%+ on the tests. Also, she's very willing to help you if you have questions and she's very patient. Loved her as a teacher. Plus, she gives you candy randomly through the semester. :)

I didn't mesh well with Sister Baker. She's kind of like a teen-aged girl who never grew up. She teaches reasonably well, but, as with most linguistics teachers, she has noticeable biases with some of her material; remember to take her process rules first as suggestions. Probably the hardest thing about this class was waking up for it.

Baker is super nice and the soul of reasonableness. Tests were take-home, open-book, though not especially easy. The term paper was a lot of hard work and you had to be self motivated as is a lot of the learning. Lectures tend to introduce you to sociolinguistic topics. It's up to you to enrich yourself from there.

Wendy Baker is the best professor I've had at BYU. Her classes are easy to do well in, but it's because she cares so much about her students and does a great job of explaining even complex ideas. She's engaging, lectures are interesting and exciting, and I learned a ton! Plus, she has great fashion sense.

Dr. Baker is my hero. She's engaging, excited, interested in students and their progress. Class discussions are fascinating, though we don't always make it through all the lecture material. Good grades are easy to come by as long as you put in some effort.

She's a pretty good teacher, she just sometimes says the wrong thing without realizing it and it just confuses the class. She is fairly easy. We got full credit on homework as long as we did it. Took her a while to grade and return tests.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think I found a teacher who is actually too easy. She's a good teacher, but then the tests just really weren't all that tough (maybe because she taught us so well. . .). If you get anything below an A from her, you need help.
