Tried to assit a student in catching up on work missed from an illness, Katz told me not to waste my time, that the student obviously was stupid because they got sick and missed time.

Class was surprisingly difficult, attended most classes which were very boring. Katz is obviously very well-read and intelligent but tends only to refer to text, not actually teach any of her own thoughts. She CAN be extremely rude and gives the impression to dislike any student who offers their opinion in class discussion.

Very easy prof. Hardly any work compared to other classes. A midterm is a short essay so as long as you know about one story you've done in class your set because theres a few different essays to pick from. Take home final is very easy.

Clear, reasonable and very interactive. If you like to participate in class discussions take this (you can't hide, if you laugh to yourself expect to tell everyone why. Fun class.) Very little reading for a lit class. Cheap books thanks!! Sorry she's away on medical.

English was my worst subject but my first language, grammer was the most difficult for me to learn. My difficulty was interpreted as failure and she idicated that I should work at McDonalds. Thanks for nothing.
