Her class can be boring. She knows a lot about economics and the slow pace actually helps students fully understand the topics. She gives good examples and grades fairly.

She was the most boring lecturer I've had in college and her tests came out of nowhere with ridiculous multiple choice questions. Nobody came close to finishing any of the tests.

By far one of the worst professors I've had at Wesleyan, if not in my entire educational career. Extremely boring lectures in class that went on mindlessly about topics that weren't of importance to the class, and then when exams came around the majority of the class found themselves scrambling to learn information we had never been taught.

The workload was intense but that's what you get with CSS. Over email she can seem a bit strict but she's actually a really kind and sweet person. Her comments on papers are extremely helpful and insightful and she is great at breaking down complex concepts into relatively simple terms. Overall a great professor.

She's one of the most underrated professor on this website. She's great and awesome. People say she's Marxist, but that's not quite true. Anyway, definitely take her class. You'll learn a lot.

Rayack is really approachable and incredibly passionate about this topic. I loved this class, except for the fact that a huge portion of it was taken up with presentations, which could have been okay but the class full of people who didn't care about the topic at all. Also final grades were curved down. As engaging as you make it.

I thought this class was going to be awesome; the actual subject of the course is very interesting. And yet, it was the most boring and poorly planned class I have ever had in college. Would've be fine if Rayack had been approachable, fair or understanding. Dreaded this class, as did all my friends. She does clearly care about the topic though

AVOID. Cares about subject, but makes it SO boring, feels like a platform for her political views. Plays favorites with grades, loves students that she feels are "disadvantaged". Classes revolve around regurgitation of writings by other academics, no original content. Last 5-6 weeks of class consist of listening to student presentations.

Avoid Rayack like the plague. She genuinely cares about her subject, but you will honestly learn nothing from her in an upper level course. This could have been a great course, but obviously ruined by a really bad professor. No matter how badly you need this credit, avoid this course.

Very thorough, definitely moves quickly, but certainly cares about her students' work. Granted, if you don't put in the effort, you won't do well. She's incredibly knowledgeable and warm, although also sometimes hard to reach outside of class

Rayack goes through the material rather quickly but that is probably a problem with the course itself and not her teaching. Her lectures vary- from clear and straightforward, to confusing and overwhelming. Depends on the day. Cracks cheesy jokes. Helpful during office hours. Problem sets are easy if you go to the TA sessions.
