OK- she name-drops. but she did work at the Washington Post, and her husband has a PULITZER PRIZE. some people fail to see the level of skill she demands. she's understanding, and very approachable if you make time to get to make yourself known. if you want to learn to write to a high degree, get to know Prof. Swallow. she'll tweak your skills.

magazine writing: good class, very limited work though she grades tough on occaision. All you do is make a magazine in a group and it takes the whole semester. She may be a name-dropper, but otherwise shes very funny and extremely knowledgeable. Highly reccomend.
