He is a very unorganized professor. He is super nice and knows his stuff. He talks super slow and it puts you to sleep. He never keeps you the entire class time, and his midterm and final were on nothing you learned. Stay organized if you take him.

Berlin is one of the most unorganized teachers on the campus. He is a very nice man and tries to help but his lack of organization is what fails students. He would tell you to study one thing and put another on a test. His assignments were very unclear and his lectures, if he showed up, were very irrelevant.

I love Professor Berlin, he is a nice and intelligent professor. Very helpful and humorous, I sit in the front row all the time, and to me their's never a dull day with him. He knows his material, and he's also lenient on certain things.

I don't think he's that bad. This class is easy and interesting too. Sure, his lectures are sometimes dull, he's a bit unorganized, and has a very dry sense of humor but there are also some good discussions and he is very lenient. Give him a break, he's the department head after all and probably has a lot to do. I recommend him.

He was ok. Some lectures may be dull especially if you are not interested in the subject but I thought it was alright. He has great dry humor that livens up the place a bit. He doesn't seem so fond of giving out specific reviews for the midterm and final so you WILL have to study on your own. Quizzes are easy if you actually read the chapter.

great guy. i took him for political science and i really appreciated the fact that i couldn't tell whether or not he was a righty or a lefty; he doesn't push any bias views onto his students. he shows AWFUL videos from the 80s that are numbing, but the discussions in class are interesting, i would definitely reccomend him.

Great teacher, and a great class as well...The two papers you have to write for the whole semester are incredibly easy, and the exams are taken straight from the study guides he gives you for both midterm and final...If you can, I recommend you take this professor

Dr. Berlin is a good teacher. He is easy to understand and the material for the class. He gives you a study guide for the midterm and final, but then adds some stuff that is not on the study guides. The class is really easy, class discussions are pretty good, but he is a tough grader. I would take him again, but not for the 60's class... :o(

Took Dr. B twice. The Harrison Ford/Steve Martin mix lookalike of the POLY sci dept. If you go to class, take notes on the things he says TWICE and read the damn books, you will get an A. It is as simple as that. He is very cool and approachable.
