An inspirational professor who cares about his students and wants them to succeed. This is a tough subject but unlike other professors, he helps you out. All his exams are straightforward and gives extra credit on them and also two extra credit projects which help your grade. Also very kind.

You need 270 pts for an A and you have a total of 3 exams and a final exam. Of the 3 exams, he drops the lowest one. You also have 2 extra credit projects valued at 20 pts each! Tests are not curved but they are out of more than a hundred (basically scattered extra credit points). The class is hard and the book will be your best friend.

Probably the best teacher for a difficult course like Orgo. Gives you two projects to add to your average, which helps a lot. Class can be boring though, and since he's blind, he's not able to help you visualize concepts in the beginning of the course, which is important later on. Tests are ok, just know reactions and get practice exams.

Amazing professor. Extremely kind and easygoing. The exams are not easy but he lets you know what concepts/reactions he expects you to know for exams. Study hard and you'll be fine.

Class is much tougher than expected. He lets you drop the lowest exam out of the three we take (excluding the final). There are two projects. You need to know your material and unfortunately a lot of it needs to be self taught.

I don't understand why people don't do well in this class. He gives 20 extra credit points on exams and on the final he gave 40 extra points. He gave quizes every week so that personally helped keep me on top of the material. He is very thorough and knows what he's talking about but i guess many people fail because they have short attention spans.

One of the best professors I've had. He explains the material extremely well, is receptive to all questions, and goes out of his way to meet with students. The one drawback is that he can't use the blackboard or models as adequately as other professors but it's a small downside compared to the pros. He gives tons of extra credit and drops and exam.

Good professor. He is blind but explains very good. His powerpoints don't help much. The class itself is very hard and since its orgo 1 and 2 in one sem, it will be very tough and most of time have to learn on your own. He is ready to help anytime. The best thing you can do is find old exams from his classes, uses very similar questions. Good prof

Best orgo professor on campus. Easy A, as long as you study. Gives a guide on what to expect for each exam, so as long as you use that, you will get an A. 20 points extra credit on the first two exams and 40 points extra credit on the last two. Drops the lowest grade

It's not the worst course. Yea, it is fast paced, and you won't get much out of the lectures, but he is a nice guy that wants you to do well in his class. 20 pts extra on the exam do help, but it doesn't take away from the fact that you need to read the book and understand the material on your own. Quizzes every class too, so study!

This class moves REALLY fast. You will need to teach yourself most of the material. He gives 20 pts extra on tests but that doesn't always help! Best bet is to find previous sessions exams/quizzes. He uses similar problems. He goes over easy stuff in class but the exams are A LOT harder. Like I said plan to put MANY hours into this course.

Dr. Skawinski goes very quickly during class, but teaches well. What he says is clear, so ask him questions when you don't understand something or if you can't keep up. He has a few extra credit questions on each exam (around 20 pts each), but no curve at the end. He is completely blind, but that does not affect the teaching.

Don't go to his classes, or go there and study on your own becuase you wont get much out of him since he goes over things too fast and he murmurs to lecture. The below comments are wrong about the extra credit, it is 20 points exactly. I studied for every quiz and reviewed the quizzes for exams. I was always at least 30 points above avg. end up an

He's a really nice guy,is willing to help you out, not something you'll find in many professors. Basically do well on the exams and with the extra credits make sure you work on that, free 38-40 points total if you do well. Getting an A shouldn't be all that difficult if you just study like there's no tomorrow, I did terrible at 1st but did well (A)
