Comment:
The lectures are extremely boring & he basically reads off the slides, which you'll have to read yourself later. He grades harshly and when you ask about a grade he gets rude. He gives a project but doesn't care what the reading says because he's the economist so he's right. I would not take him. Do yourself a favor and take literally anyone else.

Hard to understand when he talks because of his thick accent. Also, he is barely available outside of class, and when you email him, he takes at least two days to respond, if he responds. And you would probably be better off just not paying attention in lecture and just read the book yourself, because that's all he talks to you about. DONT TAKE HIM

His lectures are irrelevant, he just repeats what is on the powerpoint. He gives really specific practice exams and review powerpoints before each exam. He made it easy to get a good grade

He's a good guy, but sometimes his accent makes it hard to understand what he's talking about. He is very accommodating if you reach out to him. Only 3 test + an extra credit quiz, online homework every week and one group assignment.

I don't recommend this class unless you're good at economics and enjoy it. There's two exams (worth 25% each), quizzes and homework for every chapter, two presentations, & a group project. Dr. Wu is very helpful and cares about his students, but his class is SO boring. A majority of people struggled in this class. Also, I don't recommend skipping.

Terrible professor. Passed 211 very easily and then had to drop 212 because I was failing too badly. Doesn't explain anything well and when he tries explaining he confuses you even more. Tests are very hard, I studied for over a week and still failed the tests.

Hes a nice guy but to smart for his own good when teaching he reads right off the slides and doesn't know how to reword and paraphrase things. If you have a question about something he'll read you something already written on the slide.

Granted he has a thick accent but it could be worse. He knows his stuff but cant teach it. He reads slides at light speed, writes some letters on the board and calls it a day. Gets very upset when you question exam questions, claims he didnt write them then after grading a test he changed the answer key cause he didnt like it

I have no idea why anyone would say he is anything but a horrible teacher. His accent is bad and it makes the class more difficult than it needs to be. He is very confusing and sometimes would assign homework and no one would knew what the homework was because they couldn't understand him. Takes basic concepts and over complicates them. Stay away

Hard to understand with his accent. Better off taking someone else! I get nearly all A's and struggled with this class from the bat and dropped it because I didn't wanna try very hard for just a B. Avoid him!

Do NOT take him!!! Hard to understand his English. He is a nice guy though. He assumes students know more than they really do. He is probably a good teacher for upper level econ classes, but horrible for lower level. Just lectures endlessly in class. Very boring. I had to basically teach myself.

Very helpful easy to understand when one-on-one. Sometimes goes to fast when lecturing. You would have to slow him down :). Knows his stuff very well. In my opinion, he teaches the hardest Economics courses offered in SU.

It's true that Dr Wu was not clear enough regarding certain points but I do think he know really well his stuff. Regarding his english, I have no problem to understand him. Added to that, his exams are fair especially when you go through the pre-exams he gives 10 days before the final. If you read the chapter every week, you get an A!

To those of you who say he can't speak English, try speaking two languages... Dr Wu does speak English, and he definitely knows his stuff. He is a little unclear but his study sessions help A LOT, and doing the homework helps. Plus, he is always willing to be of any help.
